Anybody know what causes a SafeRam Mains Signature Corrupted message on a GameMaker? Getting this message right after a Clear. Have swapped Mains and Graphics chips to no avail.

Originally trying to run 24 Mains with 14 Graphics. Maybe this set doesn't play well together?

Any input greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

I have never seen that message.   Scratch Head

I am sure u did this.

Clear with #'s 1 thru 8 rather than 7 & 8.

Maybe that "Blue" chip from Blue Ridge Slots is the answer.

Try this link too.  Battery maybe.

Ricker!  +1 (Karma, or whatever) for the response!

Hmm.... Scratch Head

I'll go recheck the battery now....thought it was good, but will double-check it.

Did clear both ways, 1-8 and just 7-8.

Message is strange. After the clear, it allows the initial set-up, then says "ReInstall Game Chips", but then when you do resins tall the, and power back up, the message pops up...

For some reason, I'm kind of leaning towards battery, but I'm sure it was checked (but hey, crazier things have happened)!

I do use the 24 and 14 setup on all my machines and have never seen this message.
Is this a V7000? or a newer machine?
Keep us posted as I'm sure you will figure it out.

It's a 7200 (model V7217)...

And Damn it, double checked the battery, its good....3.7!!!

Good to know the main/graphic chip combo is good. That's out of the equation now at least. We thought it was a good combo, even used original factory chips...but this error is throwing us off!

Keep it coming BrainTrust! We'll get this!

Interesting.

I only run 9 games and leave P-10 empty. I can't believe having 10 games would make a difference. Has machine worked before with the games. Might try only 9 and leave P-10 empty
May want to try only 1 game chip installed. Has to be a reason.

Funny you suggested running just 1 game, as we tried that yesterday out of desperation....sadly, no change.

We have never had this game in the shop before, so we've never seen it work. I wonder if the manual addresses this at all. Bally manuals are better than IGTs. I'll have to take a look and see.

 Duh!

Ok,

Others may chime in. How about disconnecting battery for a time and reconnecting?  Must be something on the board other than the eproms normally removed. How about diff. board or board in diff machine. Same result?
