Hi.  I ran into a problem with my S6000 machine today.  The machine was working fine except that I was told the mains needed to be updated to support the printer.  The machine is an 'In the Money' progressive machine and was working fine (except the printer).  I shut the machine off and put in the clear chips that I've used on a couple of previous machines.  I was careful with the board and made sure the clear chips were well seated and in correctly.  I then put the board back in and pushed the 'Test' and 'Psuedo Coin" buttons very hard and turned the power on.  The light on the outside of the board starting flashing and nothing showed up in the windows.  I was expecting some kind of clear code but nothing showed.  I then tried another set of clear chips and had the same result.  I then made two new clear chips from an original backup and had the same result.  I then decided to put the original mains back in and when I powered up the machine I get an 88FF code.  I checked the battery voltage (in-line) and it was 3.6v.....did I screw up the MPU somehow???   Is there something else I can try before getting a new MPU?   Is there something special that needs to be done to clear a machine when it's a progressive machine?  The S6000 machines that I've cleared before with these chips were not progressive machines

Thanks,
Jim

Just in case anyone else runs into this problem...it turned out to be a bad u43 clear chip and then a bad u43 mains chip....got updates from a couple of people for those chips and now the machine is up and working!
