Im working on a Game King and can not get it to accept bills.  I know it is something easy but I haven't pin pointed the problem.  This machine has no coin acceptor.  Only bills.  The machine worked fine at one point but recently did not want to accept bills (no lights on the bezel).  I switched out the BV and Transport for a good working unit.  No luck.  I found a hanging switch in the Cash Can compartment.  When I press this button it shows a Closure B error.  I've tried diagnostics with no luck.  I've tried taping the button down with no luck.  Now I have a Closure MB on the right bottom side of the screen when all doors are closed.  I've ready a lot of posts and have not found my answer.  Thanks for the help.

A Closure message is not an error, but more of a History. Anytime it says Closure XX, it's telling you the door was opened, but is now closed. If it thought a Door was open, it would say Door Open XX (like Door Open MB, Door Open B, etc.)

Is the Cash Can in all the way???

The cash can appears to be in all the way.  The latch appears to lock down like a normal working one.  When the machine is one the Cash Can sensors acknowledge that the can is in.

Ok, I was kinda fishin there, hoping it was an easy fix!  rotflmao

You have witnessed this machine take and register bills, correct?

And is there anything that happened meanwhile we need to know about?

What shows at the bottom of the screen now? Anything besides Closure messages?

Since it is not thinking a door is open, the only thing that comes to mind is the cash can itself. Do you have another one you can try? If it is not fully engaging, it will do exactly as you are experiencing. The fact the cash can was emptied and put back in rightnbefore the symptoms started seems to be more than a coincidence, especially since no other erros are present.

Also, slide the BV out and back in (firmly), just to make sure it's seated properly and making a good connection.

the latch should lock in the up position not the down position, you press down on lever when removing

when you reinsert the cash can make sure lever is moving up. also if you power cycle you you hear the BV making its cycle noise

Is there a lock w/ cam in the Bill Validator door?  Is the cam hitting the micro switch on the right hand side of the unit? The micro is hidden behind a steel plate.  If possible, go into the diagnostic menu and verify the validator Door switch changes open to close when turning lock/cam.

Just had this Exact same issue with a GK just purchased.
