Hello,
I need to enable the bill vallidator on my IGT S+ 5 x pay machine.
my question is can I use the set038 chip that I use on my IGT PE+ poker machine?Or do I need a set015 chip that I've heard about?
There is no progressive setup on this machine just want to enable the bill vallidator.
Thanks,

I don't think you'll be able to use your PE+ SET chip in an S+.  A SET 15 will likely work, as well as a number of other S+ SET chips.  What SP chip is in your 5x Pay machine?  (Here's a link that explains how to find out that information, if you don't already know.)

Hey Knagl,
Thanks for your help again.
The chip is 721, I got a set015 which will work on this machine but it turns out I didn't need it.
Apparently I messed up one of the settings in the menu. It was the one that disables the BV when there are so many credits on the machine, and I had it set to 0.
Thanks again.

Well, it's nice when it's an easy fix.  I was going to offer you a link to the PSR for your SP chip, but I can't find one for SP721.  The PSR (Program Summary Report) lists all of the features available for a particular SP chip, as well as what SET chips are compatible with it, etc.
