I've done a few custom designed slot kits in Photoshop and had them printed up with great results, just thought I would make a thread to show some of the designs, instead of posting a new thread each time.  For anyone wondering, yes, I do accept custom work if you want a custom kit made.  Kits include graphic design, top glass, belly glass, reel strips, and SB and SS chips..  PM me for more details, or if you'd like one of the ones below.  I didn't post this in the classified section because it's not a "For Sale" type of thread as much as it is to show the work I've done, but yes, they are for sale if anyone wants one.  As far as custom work, I can do all of the artwork, so you basically would just need to give me the theme that you are interested in, and any specific details that you want.  Some kits also include custom candle inserts, denomination decals, and other little extras.  The glass is the same thickness as IGT's glass, but I use T2 rated acrylic instead of glass, so I don't have to worry about breaking, cracks or chipping.

ALABAMA COLLEGE FOOTBALL - CRIMSON TIDE
Another custom kit made for a customer.  Customer gave permission to use design as an example, or for anyone else that wants one.

And I had a customer that wanted a Breaking Bad kit made for an IGT S2000.  Here is the kit.  He wanted round top, but while I was at it, I made a 16" top as well, so anyone that wants this design can have their choice (the customer gave me permission to reuse the design for anyone else that may want it).  Just like the Big Bang Theory kit, this one also has nudge and spin till you win features.  It's a clone of Coral Reef, and includes both game and 3 coin reel chips.

Thanks for the compliments guys.  I also do custom work, if anyone wants a custom theme done based on their own ideas.  All kits include:

  • All Graphic Design
  • Top Glass, in either round top, 16", or 9", your choice
  • Belly Glass
  • 3 Reel Strips
  • SP Chip
  • SS Chip
  • Sometimes little extras, like candle inserts, or denomination legends that match the theme, if I have room on the print sheet  Wink

Top Glass and Belly Glass are the same thickness as the factory IGT glass, but I use T2 rated acrylic instead of real glass to prevent breaking, cracking and chipping.  Most of my designs use the included SS4280 chip, which gives my designs the spin till you win feature as well as the nudge feature.  It's the same chip used in the Coral Reef game, which is what I clone my kits off of.  My designs also come with the SP872 chip, which runs the SS4280 chip and supports progressive meters, as well as allowing you to change the music on the spin till you win part of the game from 7 customized tunes.  Obviously anyone wanting a custom kit designed can choose to have it designed around their chips, or designed around the above chips... whichever you would like.  For example, the Alabama Crimson Tide kit above was based around the customers own 3 Coin Double Diamond chips.  Price for any kit that I have already designed is $199 (plus shipping), or a completely custom design based on your own ideas is $249.  Believe it or not, by the time I pay for the glass, the custom artwork printing with gloss laminate, shipping of the glass and artwork to me, and the software chips, I'm not making much at those prices.

I'm also looking for ideas for my next one... I'm thinking maybe Family Guy?

You are totally making me want to own a couple of slot machines. If I had a pair of machines, I would get Labyrinth and Dark Crystal from you in a heartbeat.
Your work is amazing!!  Hail

Thanks Styx.  Those would be great themes.  I'm also thinking of doing a family guy and a dogs playing poker theme, if there is enough interest in either.  What part of canada are you from?  I've got a few machines for sale, and could have the kit preinstalled for you.  I'm in Maine... about 5 hours from Canada... but depends what part you are in.

I'm in Winnipeg Manitoba. I'm not even sure if it's legal to own slot machines here. I've never seen or heard of anyone with one here.
I'm actually considering getting into a couple of pinball machines if I ever move to a place with a basement.  hissy fit

Any chance these kits will ever be geared more to the S2000 with backlit reel sized strips or even backlit strips and corresponding SB chips? Not that the chips would be to hard to get if you know the theme the kit is based off of, but it would open up the possibility of writing a simm card to match it too

The strips do fit the S2000, and the strips are semi-backlit.  Whereas the factory igt strips light just the symbol, our kits light the symbol and about a half inch around the outer symbol as well, almost like a "glowing bleed over" if that makes sense, so not exactly the same as factory backlit, but close.  Most of my customers use their kits in an S2000, either with their own chips or using our chips on a legacy board.  True factory style backlit strips use a laser cut multi-ply process and the cheapest we have found to produce them that way is over $200 per set, which is more than the entire cost of our kits, so we feel the "pretty close" effect of our backlit strips versus the cost saving to the customer for factory style strips makes sense.  We can do custom kits for any s2000 chips, as long as you can send us a pic of your existing strips so that we know the reel pattern, no additional charge.  As far as a custom sounds, I don't have experience with writing custom sound simms, so we can't write or supply a custom one, but happy to base a theme around your sounds if you like.  Also, if you happen to write custom sound Simms, shoot me a PM and it may be something we'd like to order from you to include in our kits for our customers.

STVX,

Owning Gaming equipment is legal in Canada provided you are not using it for gaming.
I run mine off of tokens vs quarters - that way no one can claim they lost their lunch money.
I bought my machines when living in Pittsburgh PA, where anything newer than 1942 is illegal.
Then moved back to Calgary and brought my toys with me. In addition I have since bought a roulette wheel and just aquired a roulette reader sign.

Ok, cool, thanks for the info.  Custom sounds would really complete our kits.  We've been able to do it in the past, but not using the existing simms, and it was piggybacking the existing sounds (adding on to, not replacing), and wasnt very cost effective.  I'll contact Bunker and see if its something we can arrange.

Only for the Vision games where it uses a SD card. He would swap out the file with a .wav of about the same size.

I would think you could do the same if you had one of those nice $$$$ Simm burners.

I think Bunker uploaded the file to a computer and such bed his own sounds in for what was there. Might have been on an s+ chip too for as good as my memory is on it. Been a few years now

That would be great if it could be added to the S Plus chip directly, since many of my customers use the included S plus chips in their S2000 with legacy board.  That would eliminate the need for a simm at all for my S2000 customers, as well as giving the sound effects to the S Plus customers, all with the same chips.

Yep, already did, waiting on a reply.  Yeah, me neither.  I think that the generic sounds (reel spin, coin drop, etc) is hosted on another chip other than the SP or SS though, as the 2 S Plus machines that I have also have another chip located near those two that says "SOUND" on it, however, one of my motherboards has a regular chip there that can be pulled, and my other board has it microsoldered onto the board itself, so it wouldn't be so much a universal option that I could include with the kits.  Obviously the SP/SS chip has some sound capabilities though, as some kits have their own sounds... usually a spin till you win tune, or other accessible sounds.  Working on a Family Guy kit right now, and the character voices would be a great addition to the kit if I could incorporate them.  Imaging hitting a respin symbol and hearing Peter say "Freakin' Sweet!" or whatever.  Would be perfect.

Bunker  did a Beverly Hillbilly's   sound on his cash out  . I think he pulled it from the site . If someone can reprogram the S2000  sound simms to different sounds  then I  WTB into this new technology  . How cool would it be to add new and more interesting sounds to our hobby P.B.
