Here is an experimental version I am having printed up as we speak... This one isn't for sale, since it's cloned off of a rare kit with an R board and is S2000 platform specific.  R boards can't be duplicated, so it wouldn't make sense to offer this one for sale, since I can't offer the software/chips for this kit.  It's for my personal machine, but the experimental part is the black reels.  I want to see how the custom black reels look, and depending on how they come out, I might even try replacing the florescent bulb above the reels with a black light, and really make the reel colors pop out (black light effect was in mind when choosing the colors for the reel symbols).  I also did a tracking bar lexan for this one (the piece in between the top glass and belly glass below).  Here it is:

Holy Crap, just ran across this.  Huge Breaking Bad fan, if this was running on a S2000 machine with sounds like voice of Heisenberg etc... The breaking bad theme song etc... I would gladly buy one.

Not sure if you are referring to the black strip version that I just posted, or the original version a few posts back in the same thread (the one I actually sold to Bryan Cranston).  The black strip "Free Games" version I can't really sell, because the S2000 software for that one is on an R board, so the sounds and everything are soldered onto the board.  You'd have to find an original R board for a "Strike It Rich Free Games" kit, which is very rare and hard to find.  The original version runs on an S2000, and I can sell them with the software included.  I could even make those original strips have a black background, but the black strips are experimental, and I won't have them back from the printing company until Friday to see how they come out.  We can't change the sounds on the chips, however I have been able to "Piggyback" the sound effects by adding additional sound modules with the voices, breaking bad theme song, etc... but they are push button activated... so basically the sounds are on demand, and not triggered by the events of the slot.  Still, very cool though, and the on demand sounds make it nice when you want toshow off the machine to someone but don't want to wait to hit a certain pay combo to trigger the sound  .  If you want one, let me know what style.

The original strips are "semi-backlit".  IGT uses a multi-ply laser cut process to make just the symbols glow.  Very expensive (about $200 production cost to duplicate, just for the strips alone).  The original strips we have do light from the back, but it's more of a square light around the symbol, not just the symbol itself.  Basically, it makes the symbol light up, with a little glowing bleed over.  Still very nice, and for the savings in cost, well worth the savings, as I would basically have to double the cost of the kit with the professional strips, and even then I'd be losing a little on the strip cost.  The black strips shown above are experimental on 2 levels... first, I've always done classic white backgrounds on the strips.  This is the first black background version.  2nd, I'm experimenting with these black strips for a multi-ply process, similar to what IGT does, so I had three sets of strips printed up, and will try the layering process when they come in on Friday.  The problem is each symbol will have to be cut out carefully by hand using an exacto knife, then sandwiched between other strip layers.  I also plan on using a glitter effect on the yellow "Heisenberg" symbols, where it's backlit from behind, and the light shines through the glitter.

That looks very nice. Would be interesting to see what they look like under UV light. What long term effect will UV light have on artwork I wonder ?

BTW if You want game events or combinations to trigger sounds that should be fairly easy to add with a SAS module triggering a MP3 board like the one I posted before.

Thanks TZTech.  I usually use recordable MP3 modules for skill stop machines, with a photo sensor attached to them to trigger the event.  On a skill stop machines, there is usually a separate light bulb that lights up for most events (respin, big bonus, small bonus, door open, etc), so the photo sensor just gets placed next to the light bulb for that event inside the machine, and when the bulb comes on, the sound plays.  Unfortunately with the vegas slots, no special bulbs light up (generally), and the ones that do are way to frequent to use them as a sound trigger.  If you know how to use an MP3 board to be triggered via SAS, send me a PM... I'd be happy to buy them from you pre-assembled to include in the custom slot kits for my customers if the cost is reasonable, and the installation is easy enough for the average customer to do.

lol, I think I'll stay away from the fogger... mixing machines with water isn't the best of ideas

I simply took out the existing reel glass bulb, and framed the inside of the reel window with that strip.  Now I can change the color of the lighting with a remote, and even do some cool fade & strobe effects and such.  Mainly got it because it does the UV light effect, which is what I'll use to test the UV style black reels, at least until I pop into spencers or a halloween store to pick up a regular size UV light tube.

Good thought, but not really frequent enough (or, depending on your setup, too frequent).  We'd only hear the custom sound either when a jackpot is hit, or if you have the machine setup to ring the jackpot bell on every pay (yikes!), you'd hear the same sound effect on every payout

Now, if there was some sort of MP3 sound board that would play a RANDOM sound effect out of several that we record onto it, then that would be perfect to disconnect the jackpot bell, add the sound module, and set it to use the jackpot bell on every pay.  Above my electronic expertise though... if anyone can help with that type of project, PM me to see what we can workout so we can include them in our kits

How much for a standard kit? Glass, reels, chips. Can you make a multi line kit?

Yep, we can do multi line kits.  You'll just need to let us know which game it's based off of and snap a pic of the existing strips so we know the reel pattern.  Custom designed kits are $250, which includes top piece, bottom piece, 2 chips and 3 strips, plus custom artwork design.  Pre-designed kits are $175, but currently all single line games, and limited to the designs already created.

I have a 2cn triple diamond single line machine.  I want to convert to 5 line 5 coin.  Would i need to change out BOTH chips or just the reel chip?  Would this be a custom order?

Yep, it would be a custom order.  Both chips would be included, and we could do the theme of your choice if you had a design in mind that you'd like to have made.  We're also working on a walking dead theme and family guy theme, which we could modify to 5 line 5 coin, or any other theme that you'd like to have.  Feel free to send me a PM

Hi NeonKiss,

It's not an R Board game.  It comes with both standard chips though.  The reel strips are "semi backlit", which means, technically we don't support backlighting of the strips, but the material that they are made of does in fact allow light to pass through, and the instructions that come with the kit give you some methods that our other customers has used to make them fully backlit.  We just can't officially support it because it requires a slight modification to the strips, and we don't want to be responsible if anyone messes up their strips trying to do it, and then requires a new set of strips to be custom printed.  It's pretty straight forward though, since the material already allows the light to shine through.

This Walking Dead kit is cloned off of a 5 line Triple Diamond, so all required standard chips are included.
