If all the smoke gets out it won't work anymore!

« on: July 24, 2013, 08:28:51 PM »

Well where to start, I lost my 43 year old wife to cancer on December 6, 2012.  My life has changed, a lot.  It has taken time to find out what the new normal will be. I hope to start working on my slot machines again, they have sat unused for 8 months now. We thought Carrie had beaten her cancer, she was tested and monitored till November 5, 2012 when the U. of M. said it has returned and it is not fixable, stage 4, she only had weeks to live and they were correct, 31 days. To say I have been hit by a train would be putting it lightly. I miss talking talking to all of you, I hope to spend more time, I will spend more time living life and not working so much. I hope to chat with you all soon, when I find some crazy problem I can't fix... RIP Carrie Biederstedt 4/30/1969 - 12/6/2012 I will love you forever!

Oh Hotrod, what an awful, heartbreaking tragedy you've been through. Makes us all take a moment and remember how precious life is, and to that we should never take it for granted. My deepest, deepest condolences to you.

Drop in more, hang around, and chime in anytime. You're more than welcome here! I dont know that we can be a part of your "new normal" though, as were not all that normal!  Crazy But, none the less, we're glad to see you back!

I can sympathize with you.  My father was diagnosed on Sept.29th 2012.  He had stage 2 lung cancer.  He was operated on the 14th to remove the right lung and we thought everything was going well, but he was never able to recover enough from the surgery to receive chemo, and thus it came back aggressively in april and we lost him 30 days after it resurfaced.  It's been a long 8 months, and taking care of his estate is the most depressing thing I've ever done, it is almost like you are erasing him from record.  I'm sorry for your loss, it is such a horrible thing to  watch your loved one go through that.

Man...what you're going through is a nightmare I'd think I'd have a hard time with.
Remember all the good times about your honey but take good care of yourself too.
