Hello,

I assembled a DBV-200 with stacker form parts off of eBay.  I hooked it up, externally, to my IGT Fourth of July machine and it works perfectly.  I tried to move it over to my IGT Double Wild Cherry machine and at first, it would only take $1 bills.  I moved SW 10 on the validator to on and it will now take $1 - $20 but not a $100 bill.

My guess is that I have to update my game chip.  The game chip is a 2028 SP116.  Can someone tell me if I'm on the right track.  If so, where can I get updated game chips for my IGT Double Wild Cherry?

Thanks Scratch Head

SP 116 is Olllllllllllllld are you sure it isn't a SP611, regardless we have the newer Game chips, you will need a Set chip as well to activate the BV after changing the Game chip, also all other dips should be off, also your credit limit could be set where your machine won't allow that many credits depending on denom of game and credit limit

Thanks!  I double checked and it is an SP116.  I just sent you a message regarding getting this upgraded chip and updating my DBV.

Thanks again.

See if you can get an older 100.. bill. I suspect its the version of the DBV200...

The same $100 bill worked on my other machine when the validator was hooked up to it.  I have a second working DBV-200 that takes all the new bills except the new $5 and I get the same result.  It sounds like I have a really old game chip.  I'm going to get a newer game chip to see if that does the trick.  I will let you know how that works out.

Thanks

FWIW, I have SP 116 listed as  SP116 (256K) Saraha Freeplay  in my chip list. Are you sure that's what you have?? Scratch Head
Could it possibly be an SP1160?
I"m still inclined to think that it might be the credit limits set in the machine. Even the older (but not that old) SP chips have a credit limit for the DBV that is separate from the hopper limit.

Jim from Blue Ridge Slots fixed me up.  My DBV-200 is working perfectly on the machine.  It was the game chip and Jim set me up with the right one.

Thanks Jim!
