I'm working on an IGT Multipoker.  If I put the machine into test mode and check the abc board,  b and c change states but a never does.  I tried a different abc board and the same thing occurs.   What would you recommend checking next?

Thanks,

Dex

Looks like the person that worked on the machine before me had the coin comparator wired wrong.  I managed to track down the issue and moved one wire, now the machine is fully operational.     Except for the monitor needing a cap kit.

Hi Dex-

Thanks for the follow-up post.  There's another member right now dealing with an issue where his "A" optic is always showing "1" in the test mode, even if it's blocked (we believe, at least).  Can you explain or show a picture of what was wired wrong with the coin comparator in case it might help him?  Thanks for your time.

The orange-grey wire (which is one of three going to the comparator)  needs to be connected to the Sense Out Pin on the comparator.  My machine had a CC-16-D-VAC-R1 mech in it.  Which makes it the second pin from the top on the coin comparator. (top pin of the three pin connector in the picture).  Coin Mechanisms has schematics for all the mechs that will tell you which pin to hook up.

Hope this helps.

Modified for clarification.

Just so you don't confuse some else.  Your cable is not a standard coin comp. cable.  That's why you had problems.   the standard cable has the following:

pin 1 =  red loop
pin 2 =  purple (sense)
pin 3 =  red loop
pin 4 =  yellow (24vac)
pin 5 =  N/C
pin 6 =  black (ground)

Mine has
1.) Red Loop
2.) Purple
3.) Red Loop
4.) Black Ground
5.) not used
6.0 Yellow

the other connector is
Purple
Yellow
Black

Should I change any of these. Mine will not accept coins and when checked "A" states a 1 and never goes to 0.
