Hi guys, Be prepared for what is most likely a perfectly stupid question!

We have a customer with a Konami  game with the small (7", I believe) monitor to the right of the reels. The monitor looks like its "melting". After a bit of reading, it sounds like it is most likely the CCFL, which seems to be a common problem in those monitors. I can get the replacement CCFL from Happs for approx $50 each, but I have to buy 4 at a time. Since I know NOTHING about CCFLs, I was wondering if I can source these somewhere else, like other lighting? Or am I just SOL and at Happs' mercy?

Thanks for any and all ideas.

Try Pacific Illumination - http://www.pacificillumination.net/. Have not personally dealt with them but the owner is very helpfull over at slottechforum and from their website it seems they supply happ anyway. Another alternative if space permits is to replace the CCFL  with white led strips commonly available on ebay. You will need an additional power source for this.
