So I recently picked up a Konami Slot at a local auction.  Seller agreed everything worked fine but when I got it home I am getting an error.

"928 - backup data error"

Also, I noticed after I got it home, there is no Bill validator & it is a coinless machine.

Any ideas?  Is this a quick fix or a major problem?

Here is a pic (not my actual machine but just like it)

Knowing nothing about the Konamii Brand I am not going to be much help.....(what a way to start a reply)....

However some kind sole  garfield has left a copy of the GG9P1 Trouble shooting manual and the GG9P1 Setup manual in the Upload a new File area....(Button off the main page).

The exerpt from the Trouble Shooting Manual for a 928 reads:

928
BACKUP DATA
ERROR
All Clear RAM
procedure is
required.

Without either a DBV or a Coin In I wonder how you put credits on to it to play.....
If its any consolation many people desire a coinless machine but they ususally have DBVs and ticket printers....
I guess you won't have any fears about being arrested for Illegal gambling......  rotflmao

I am sure others will jump in here and help you out.

Welcome to NLG wintersbk. wave

It might also help if you post pictures of your actual machine, including the inside.

A clear requires a special clear key that are hard to find.

the error requires a clear as noted

you can install a WBA SS-13 or 6607 as well as a MC-40 coin mech (both need a harness if removed)

I told you to call me Thursday.  Don't forget.  I've got that clear and as I said, not too many people have them.  This is Brandon by the way.  But don't feel too bad, a lot of things got stolen from other people at that auction.  I wasn't happy with their service on checking people as they walked out the door.  Hell, one of their credit card machines got stolen from in an office.

And as they said, post a picture of the inside of the machine.  I don't know if that machine was missing just the bill unit or the insert, cashbox, harness and bill unit.

And for the record for everyone before anyone thinks these guys were shady, I still kind of work for this guy.  We bought some machines from a guy and some of them were not complete.  As we were going to each machine (we bought a couple of 18 wheeler truckloads) we found what was missing and he was sending us parts.  This machine and a few others, I never got to before he decided he was ending the retail side of his business.  He liquidated EVERYTHING.  Even down to the shelving.  Some machines went cheap that should've gone for more and some went for a lot that should've gone for next to nothing.  I'll tell you guys how screwed up this auction was.  We had 2 arachnid dart boards and 2 valley cougars.  The arachnids did not work and the cougars did.  The Arachnids went for $100 a piece and he Cougars went for $40 and one went for $50.  But my number was given to about 40 people or so and they all blew up my phone at once!  I am trying to get to everyone when I can and am going to try to make what I can right.  Even though I have another job working for an amusment park and don't really do anything for this other guy as of yet.  When he gets his pennies collected and everything straighted out, he's getting back into just selling slots and maybe pinballs.  So again, please no one bash as I am sure a lot more people will be getting on here having issues with the same stuff.  If anyone comes across anyone on here that bought stuff from the same auction in Rockwall Texas, tell them to PM me and I'll get to them.

Whitehooptie,

On the Flip Side if you want to send people to NLG - we are all about pitching in and helping. We have many arcade people here too. Sounds like you have the right attitude to become one of our star contributiors.....

I am not sure if we have any vendors that specialize in Konami Parts but things do tend to materialize just like the manuals......

Keep up the good work.

Whitehooptie, good job coming forward and offering to help. As Jay said, by all means refer others here that need help with their purchases. If you have the time, any help that you can offer our membership will be appreciated. I gave you a positive karma.

ok still working with whitehooptie to get my konami up and running.

looks like I need a WBA 12/13 SS ID 003.  I've done some web searches and find a few links but nothing where I can be sure of what I am getting.  So can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find one of these for sale?

Place a wanted ad in the "Classified" section on the home page....
you'll find the classified section under the "Forum Index" button.
I'm sure one of our beloved NLG vendors will see what you need and respond to you!
Remember, these vendors are your friends and they want to help you get what you need... yes

Here's a link to that section of NGL>>

Unfortunatly, this is why the  machine was never fixed.  The guy we were dealing with is great as far as helping and such.  But a little slow on when he ships parts.  Alot of times, he'd say it shipped today or yesterday.  A week later goes and nothing.  Believe me though, I'm blowing up his phone.

I may be wrong but looking at that plug in the back it appears to be for an WBA 10/11, a close up pic of the connector would solve that
