Hi Everyone,

I've been meaning to do this for a while now.  When I first found this site and upgraded my S+ to an S2000, I immediately converted my machine from a 3 reel + bonus reel, to a 3 reel because of the plethora of titles/kits that were available.  I think it was Captain Happy or Bunker that warned me about kit addiction.  Boy, was that call ever right on the money!  As I got to know many fine folks out here, everyone talked original Double Diamond.  While it is a classic, I wasn't really big on it.  When I was informed of the "Deluxe" version, my curiosity was struck and I started looking around the internet.  After seeing a couple of videos and playing it more in the casinos, I was instantly hooked...had to have it!  I started out picking up a 2 coin kit, but that soon grew into a 3 coin top glass because of the additional sounds compared to the 2 coin version.  In addition, the 3 coin version allowed multiple flavors of sound SIMMs, and currently the favorites to substitute in from time to time are "Megabucks" and "Wheel of Fortune" sound SIMMs.

Anyway, the nudge feature is what I love about this game, not to mention the cool sounds and the ULTRA cool looking strips.  This is a tough one to find these days, but I highly recommend picking one up if one becomes available.  Always a crowd pleaser!

Below are some photos and video of the game in action!!!   applause

Thanks,

So true, this is a great game.  I also love trying different simms in this title.  Haha, Wild Thing did not fit it too well.  But I have had the Mummy sound simm in for a few months now, that one is a keeper!  :-)

when you use the WOF sound simm, does it do the spin sound that the WOF games play when the reels spin?

After watching this video by Yoeddy1 I 'm interested in a Diamond machine. I know nothing about IGT S2000. I'm familiar with old Bally's E1000, E2000, little bit with S5500. So please educate me. I found a Triple Diamond 3 coin for sale. Would that model be convertible as the Double Diamond Deluxe as seen in the video's here? If not, I will keep an eye out for a Deluxe.  Thanks Tim

Double Diamond Deluxe is one of the premium titles that a lot of people like.  If you are going to buy a machine, buy a machie with a them that is hard to get by itself.  The Munsters, I Dream of Jeanie, Double Diamond Deluxe, Haywire Deluxe come to mind.

Back in the day when I started with my S+, I began to hoard kits.  I think I probably own about 80% of all available S+ glass.  To give you an idea I have Double Diamond in 1, 2, 3 and 5 coin multipler as well as the 3 and 5 line versions.  It's kind of cheating calling it 6 kits since I only need 1 belly glass for it.  There's probably 10 titles I was never able to acquire but that I wanted and in some cases like the "Royal Flush" set where it's the same game, just different colored glass for every face card (I believe there were Jack, Queen and King), I only have 1 set.

What colors do you want????? I will make you a heck of a deal! I have blue, green, red, and I think purple....I don't think I have chucked it yet, but I'm close! I get sick of seeing them all when I'm going through the glass racks!

I don't remember which one I had, if I had to guess I would say I have the red one, but I will need to check on my pile of glass to verify.

I wouldn't be nearly as into the hobby with S+.  S2000 just has so much more variety with sound, backlit strips, haywire sounds, nudge sounds, TITO, etc.  I have pretty much all of the heavy hitter themes that were on my list.  They have become scarce nowadays.

I agree.  I got into the S2K a bit late.  3 years ago would have been the sweet spot I think, when you could get pretty much anything, even WOF parts everywhere.

What happens in latin america is that after the big casinos there are done with them, they are sold to small operators which, illegally, run casino's out of ther living rooms literally.  I've driven by neighborhoods with homes that look to be a hazard zone with machines in the living room and peole walking off the street into them to play them.

Yeah, I wish someone would have told me that little piece of information!!

I bought a 2-coin Double Diamond Round Top w/backlit reels.  I have been looking for a Double Diamond Deluxe 3-coin kit ever since and can't seem to get my hands on one...  But I could have bought that machine in the first place!!

It doesn't help that all the people selling the machines keep the "best" kits for their machine sales, making those kits very hard to find with out buying a whole machine!
