Hi guys. Lots of good info out here on the Mastercom 250 once you get up and working. Howerver, I need help getting my 250 system off the ground.
Can someone give me the dummys guide to hooking up the components?
I have the main box, I have the display, I have the keypad, and I have the card reader. All of the components (except the main box)  have two "phone jacks" on them. IF I hook the display up (first in the chain), I get it to read "Bally Systems (C) 1996"  If I hook the reader up first then its lights blink all around the card reader.  However if I daisy chain them together, only the first one in the string works. Can anyone tell me the proper hook up order? I appreciate your help very much.

it does not matter, but make sure you have Mastercom interconnect cables and not standard phone cords.

MasterCom looking at the plug with the contacts up:
Black, Red, Green, and Yellow at each end.

A phone cord will have one end the same and other end will be in reverse order.

Thanks Foster!!  You were dead on. After a long tedious job of cutting and resplicing  phone cables last night I got both items to power on.    Now I move on to the task of trying to read and reprogram the chip to read a custom message.

Thanks for helping me on that. You nailed it!
