Hello!

We have got a problem with INDIAN DREAMING. In our country not good situation with electricity network: very often it is turn off and then suddenly turn on. After last electricity off/on one of our MK5 fails to boot:the booting is goes in normal mode, all the tests are OK, but the screen do not boot properly - one or two reels do not appearing... and after few seconds the machine goes to reboot. This loop is endless. And we can not to get the meters from this machine. Maybe someone know - how we can return back machine to the working condition?

Sorry for picture quality...

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dortmunder,
There are a few things you can try,
Since you have other machines in your venue, you can try a few things...
It is possible the Driver board has gone faulty from a power spike, Swap from a working machine to see if this clears.

Another problem is that one or more of the game eproms has been affected, you could replace the Indian Dreaming eproms and put on the existing game board.
Or , pull a working game board and install into faulty machine and see if it boots,
If it does, "then the process of elimination" , you should work out what is the faulty board that requires replacement.
You should work out the fault within 5 minutes with all other parts to swap around.
Let us know how you go yes
Cheers.

Thank you for your advice. I am already checked the driver board - seems it is OK.
Now I going to try to check EPROMs. As I understand if it will be possible to put them to another board during 5 minutes, a lot of possibility that electronic meters will stay alive ?

If you take out the Indian Dreaming eproms and place into another board that is currently running Indian Dreaming, you would not loose the meters.
The only way of losing the meters is if you do a ram clear.
Cheers.

Have exchanged EPROMs - took from working machine. The same result. Have put EPROMs from dead machine to another board - it started working. So, the problem with main board, but where? All the meters were saved.
