Just bought an S+ which at start up does the usual coffee grinder prior to finishing boot up. After booting the machine plays just fine on quarters in and quarters out. The BV will not do anything. I know it has power as I can see the red LED's are lighted; bezel lights don't work (tested ok) and the "Play 3 credits" light does not work which also tests ok.
I replaced the whole unit and power supply from a know to operate machine. Still nothing. In fact I put the unit that came with the machine in my other S+ and it works just fine so I know it isn't the 200 causing the problem.Anyone have a next step please?

Is the BV enabled on the new machine? With denom set?

Good question. The unit I replaced that I know works is also a quarter machine so I assume that the denomination is set. Perhaps the machine itself is not enabled? How do I check that?

Option 9 should be 9-1 to be working. Sometimes you can change it from 9-0 to 9-1 if you have NO credits on machine. If denom is wrong you will need a set chip

You should NOT have to clear. Just set chip. Did you check option 9?

I am presently trying to figure out how to get into the menu to check the settings which so far has been a daunting task. Will get back to you once i can see the setting.

Initially I was pushing the test button in a sequence the machine did not like; numbers flying randomly. I  slowed down and behold I have 9  0 and 0 in the coins played. I am afraid to touch anything. Here is what I have:

1 lighted bet one credit
2 lighted play 3 credits
3 JP key
4 test button.

Which one do I push?

Sorry Terry. It was bedtime for me. Glad Rick got you going. I guess your set chip did not come with instructions.
