Just got a Royal Touch game by Summit and even though I have new printer paper in and it fed through correctly, I am still having this error code. Any suggestions on how to clear this?

Thanks,

David

On this machine, I have the printer paper fed through properly and I have a green "good to go" LED on on the printer, yet this message still will not clear any suggestions or know who I could call about getting this machine working again?

Thanks,

David

Any suggestions on this? Should I consider looking for another printer?

Thanks,

David

I have a question and possible fix.
Are you loading the printer with a full deck of paper or just a few sheets?
If so, that could be thereason why you're getting the "low paper" message.
I've heard of people sticking a piece of thick cardboard or wood about the same size as the paper to block the "Low Paper" sensor?
The wood blocks the emitter diode beam to turn off the low paper signal to the MPU.

Is there any hope for this machine? Can anyone refer me to a tech that may know about these machines?

Thanks,

David

I did as you said Bunker and put a full deck of printer paper in the machine, now I am getting a printer fault message. I turned it off and back on but no change. Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

Hopefully this info will help diagnose this problem with this machine:

If I unplug the ticket printer  and take it out completely I still get the same message, The only way I see to clear the paper low/printer fault error is by what the screen says "turn off/on to clear" I have tried that and no change. On the side is 2 reset locks that a normal reset key fits but when I turn it with the door open or closed nothing happens. Is there any other way to clear this error by a clear chip, etc. That may fix this printer error situation? Only thing else I know I could try is to replace the printer, possibly the optics are not working on it so that the machine recognizes that paper is loaded and ready to go. I am including some pics in case that may help, there is a bank of dip switches on the back side of the printer but not really sure what they represent.

Hopefully someone will have a suggestion.

Thanks,

David

We will see.  Like a s-2000 netplex sys-etc.  I think the printer is not your problem.  This is another one of those mis leading error codes. We will see I hope. -
