I am having a prblem accessing the Main Menu screen using the RESET keyswitch.  I actuate (turn) the key and it goes into a screen of the last deal; if I hit one of the deck buttons it goes to the last bill used screen and if I hit that key again it goes to a screen that tells me there are no errors.  I cannot seem to access the Main Menu Screen.  Also I have to keep the reset key held and turned with my hand clockwise, otherwise it goes back to the game play screen.  I have 2 Sigma 112-B Video Pokers and they both are doing the same thing.

Any ideas as to what is wrong or what I may be doing wrong ?

By the book, it sounds like you're doing the right thing, but the results are different.  the last game shouldn't be the first one you get.  I wonder if one of the button switches is stuck on, or something weird like that?  I would probably give pulling wires from the button switches a try one switch at a time.  I have had these switches do funny things on other machines in the past.
a stab in the dark but you never know.

Hang on, I just realized that you have two that are doing the exact same thing, can't imagine it.  Did they work ok for you in the past? does the game play ok? Credits on it?
Thanks,
Wayne

First time using the reset key on either one.  Games work fine.  Credits taske after bills put are in, but I am figuring that both must be set for a max number of credits because the bill validator won't take more bills after you reach a certain number of credits - like 200 or something - and the light on the bill validator goes off when it hits that certain point.  That's one of things I was going to try to change - change it to unlimited credits allowed.

are there any credits on the machine when you try to access the menu?  I looked through the manual and it doesn't say if it has to be zero credits to access.  Do you have a manual?

Thanks,
Wayne

Yes, there are credits on both machines when I try to access the menu.  I do have the manual, but I didn't see anywhere where it said it had to be done with zero credits.  I will give that a try, though.

Some machines can't have credits on to change settings, I couldn't find it in the manual but it's worth a try.
Let us know.

Thanks,

Also, I think part of my problem is I have the manual for the SG-112 Plus - as opposed to the manual for the 112-B.  I guess it would have helped to have the right manual...

It looks like he has a hard copy only, he would have to scan it which would take some time.  I do have a schematic for it, I may have other pages, but not sure.

Thanks,

Don't know how to post the pages, or anything like that, its in a book format, ask any questions I'll answer what I can.

Wouln't know how to go about changing from a manual to a pfd.

The max credits on that machine is set at 100, then the bill acceptor is disabled, until you go below the 100 level, then you should stick a 100 dollar bill in it and build up the credits and play them off.

I saw a paper manual for $5 somewhere not too long ago. Not a bad price, but I like using pdf files because i can search through them easily.  making it into a pdf would involve scanning each page, very time consuming.  someone may already have it, I think we should give it a bit of time.  Jim was very gracious in his offer.

K+ to you Jim.

Thanks,
Wayne

Just as an fyi, if you ever do end up scanning the manual into a pdf, you will need to make sure that it recognizes the words in order to be searchable. That usually means scanning using OCR. The problem there is that pages with graphics and schematics might not scan correctly, and if so, they will have to be done separately as images. If you scan the text pages in as images, they won't be searchable. Several of the pdf documents that we have are like that.
