I've been trying to get this machine working for a week or more. 
I've used 2 known good boards and motherboards.
there are no door optics, only a switch on the hinge side of the door.
The slot machine owner swears it worked before it started blowing fuses (I found a shorted out wire near the door hinge and repaired it)
all fuses are good, reels are locked

turn power on with door open and 61 code appears
press test button and the machines dings but does not go to 61-1 (stays at 61)
shut door and turn reset key (61 code remains)

I have tested door switch and it is good.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Still haven't been able to get past "61". Does anyone have a model S without door optics?
