I was at Caesar's last week and I could not help notice how many Mikhom displays there are in the casino (and still being used) 2x3s, 1x3s and even a 2x over 10.
Many displaying some of the very same animations that I have loaded on my 3x3 at home. What I am having trouble with is getting the display to show scrolling graphic messages along with the animations. I do not need to display machine jackpot amounts, I know I need a con2 to do that.
I can use the PSP programmer and the download2.0 reasonably well.
What I'm looking for from this post is:
1) maybe an example of the .txt file with a sample message.
2) what I need to add to the backgrnd.bat to allow this message to display along with the animations that I have loaded.

3) Last item I know these supremes are capable of sounds, where would I hook up an amp on the J8 connector. Scratch Head

Any help would be much appreciated Hail
Thanks

I believe you need a CON2 for the scrolling messages as well.

With the supreme you set up frames and then within the frames you can display various items.

The CON2 like the ChamII+ and CON1 download messages to the sign.

My sign will say "Jackpot value - Happy St. Patricks day - Jackpot Value"
Then will switch to a scrolling message that says "Join the Shamrock Slot Club and share in the luck of the Irish".
All of this is sent from the controller....

Jay,
I have been experimenting with the text command and I'm almost there so I'm pretty sure it can be done without a controller.

That being said I have plenty of cham2+, can I use one of them without a con1 or 2?

Thanks

Con1 is incompatible with a supreme.
ChamII+ is a standalone controller that has its own display.
ChamII (non plus) is only a slave and gets it's feed from a Con2 and uses its own display.
A plus model can be set to be a slave as well.

Are you using the display for both animations and scrolling messeges from the con 2?

My supreme is set for graphics so I'm not sure the con2 will display properly (ie backwards). That is why I want to use the text command to be displayed along with the animations in the backgrnd.bat file. Using this method I can get the message to flash up briefly but I am having trouble controlling size, color, length of time displayed etc.

I'm pretty sure one of the displays that I saw at Caesars was not hooked to a con2. It displayed the fireworks animation followed by 'welcome to Caesars.....' with no progressive machines close by or jackpot information being displayed.

Here is what I have done so far without a controller. I can get the text to scroll (although it is from bottom to top). This should work for me. I'm using the text and print commands from the supreme manual and it seems to work OK.
I still have a few questions if anyone knows:
1) Are there any other fonts then the ones loaded in the supreme ( I was hoping for dazzle like the ones in the Cham II+).
2) Still trying to get sound from the supreme the manual, says it comes from the J8 plug does anyone know the connector pins to use?

See attached video of my 3x3 (hopefully it will work, disregard the sound in the backround I was watching the game)

Thanks
Rich
