Hi,

I am looking to purchase a Double Diamond Deluxe game kit with a progressive meter in the glass.

It comes with the meter installed in the glass, but none of the other parts needed to make the progressive meter work..

I know nothing about the progressive systems/screen..

Is it even possible to make an at home progressive system?

If so, what is it going to take (Parts & $$) to make it work?

I am trying to decide if I want to take on this adventure or not..

Thanks,

Double Diamond Deluxe is a sought after theme
getting the progressive up and running is no problem
just post some pictures of the meter display and we can take it from there.

Cost ? hard to say until we know what you need
shouldn't be to much though.

ChamII + will work for you
will you be installing this in a S+ or S2000 ?
did you get any other cables with it or just the glass kit ?

I'm sure you know that you don't have to hook up the progressive
to play the game though...

Of course it will look awesome hooked up
There is a bit of a learning curve programming these for the first time
I suggest you head over to the Mikohn progressive section and start reading
just to get a handle on things..really it's not all that bad.

BTW: This is not a spectrum but posted in the spectrum section

Thanks Tim!

It is an s2000, just the glass kit!

Yeah, I know you don't have to hook up the progressive,  but I guess I'm OCD in that if there is something there, it SHOULD work! It would drive me nuts if the screen/meter whatever you call it was there but didn't do something!

If you play with out the progressive hooked up, does it still count up the progressive win, just not display it? Or does it just have a fixed pay out?

I would be okay if I could just have it do a fixed payout instead of a progressive, if I could make the screen/meter display something, like static  or moving text.

I didn't know what it was!  Maybe a Mod can move this post for me?

So, thinking into the future (game room!) if/when I add other machines, is it possible to have the progressive on multiple machines, or is the home solution only able to support a single machine?

Also thinking forward, if I were to install a different game kit in the future that isn't progressive, how difficult will it be to disconnect or uninstall the progressive part? (Though I saw the thread on installing a meter/screen in the player tracking panel, which caught my interest! (And would work with any game?)

Thanks!

Once you buy a Cham II plus (+) or Stand alone (SA) is not a problem when changing to a theme that does not have place for the display behind the glass you unplug the meter form the Cham II+

The S2000 when it is configured for a linked progressive which is how you configure the S2000 to work with a Cham II+, will go into a tilt if you disconnect the Cham II+ from the machine
you can unplug the meter from the cham II+ but must leave the cham II+ connected and on while the machine is configured for a linked progressive.
Another option is to get a another Cham II+ display and find a enclosure for it and mount it to the top of the machine when using award glass without a window for the progressive display.
I had a frame shop make a frame that would hold that display since none of my glass has window for that display.

Placed it on the top of my S+, wires came out the candle hole.
Between the candle base clamping on the power and data wiring and a small piece of Velcro it never fell off.
