We now have a new machine on the floor. It is electronic dice where you can play Craps or Sic Bo.

I, being the keener I am, was hoping to brush up on my Craps knowledge, since I find the game very interesting and used to kind of understand it once a long time ago. Scratch Head

Then I thought of how perfect it would be to come here to this arcade and brush up on the game, in the casino games portion of the arcade.

No such luck. No Craps!!!!!  hissy fit

Here's everything you want to know about craps, and a good play for free game (at the bottom of the page -- not the online casino ad near the top):

Thanks! I'll look into it.

I'm hoping to find a place that resembles a "research" feel, rather than a "game playing while at work" feel lol. If I check it out, and figure I can get away with it, that would be awesome!

Have you looked at

http://www.dicesetter.com/

It's pretty informative and funny too. Written firsthand by people that have worked & run the game in casinos.

Thanks!

I did find a very funny site that explained the game quite well some time back, but I didn't want to click on any "play this game" links, since I was worried about my online being monitored, and accidentally clicking on a casino. Working for a casino, that would be a BIG no lol.  ttth

I'll be checking out these links from home first Smiley

The websites are great to get familiar with a game and many of them have pretend or training games. But actually playing or watching it in person is the best way. You will get exposed to so much more about the game that way.

All the places I've played don't mind beginners to the game, they will help you learn it. But if you have a lot of questions it is best when the table is not so busy. Casino employees are allowed to play the game at another casino than the one they work in, right?

Not here. We can't play anywhere in our province. No tables, slots, nothing.

Is that a Canadian thing?  Seems kinda restrictive on your private lifestyle, eh? I think I've had Nevada casino dealers tell me they could play at other casinos where they didn't work. But I won't criticize, Canada probably has a lot of other things going for it where they are ahead of USA. [as long as we don't talk about Toronto Mayor Rob Ford]

Nah, there are many places that will let you play. It's a government thing. They are govenment casinos, so they won't let you play anywhere in Manitoba. There are reserve casinos that will let you play wherever you want to. If we work at the government casinos, we can't even play at the reserve casinos.
