Can't find the cash can sensor.  If the door is not all closed, code 52 stops the machine. How can the sensor be disabled ?

Can you trace the wires to the housing to find where the switch is? There could be two switches, one for the door, and one for the cash can being fully seated. In the machines I have experience with, they are switches with wires to them. Hopefully this helps.

Four of us have looked for wires, or sensors, in the area of the door.  Merely trying to eliminate one more headache for the homeowner who just wants one thing in the house to actually work.   Sure, a thumb lock turned would assure the door was completely closed, but how many family members are going to remember to turn the lock ? Would have to spring load the door so that if the lock were not turned the door would explode straight out and hit the homeowner right on the nose !
Suspect the area is at the top of the door when it is closed but we can't see anything. Also, like the Healthcare Law, our own incompetence is the main problem.

If you have a WBA B/V the door switch is located in the rear right corner of the box. When the door opens the hinge arm on the right allows a micro switch to open. If your issue is that the door won't stay shut, just put a small bend in the door lip at the top where the lock spade would pass through and will hold the it shut. The switch is VERY hard to get to without removal of the cash box Assy.
