Didn't know where to ask this..

But is there a good place, besides ebay, to get a idea what some glass and/or kits might be worth?

A guy came to look at some conversion kits.. and we found a box full of brand new Arisocrat plexi inserts.. Like 10 of them are " Buffalo" .. new with the protective cover still stuck to it.. He said these go for $100 each.. so it's like 1k.. plus there is like 20 more.. mr. cashman.. a wolf... looked like multiples. more...

Any truth to the price point?...

So now.. how do I fiqure out retail value.. in order to sell at wholesale?

Thanks..

just inserts and they are worth 100 bucks a  pop you should have told him to give you 50 each   you be Lucky to get 10 bucks each imo  , I love when people go and tell people high prices on shit they don't buy them self's , most likely  those inserts are for toppers , which if you don,\'t have the game or don't like the game you won't buy

This is a tough game.. I can see why so many are buying and selling this stuff..

Knowledge = power = cash

Well.. this individual is one of the people looking to buy it all.. He is waiting on the final list. Maybe he just don't know. I don't know.. searching online.. it is certainly a popular game.. and my daughter says she still plays it in the casino.. maybe that is why there isn't any? its current issue?

I've seen just inserts sell for $100.. even more.. on ebay.. Seen them sell for $5 too...most companys have glass only kits at 50-100.. and most are at 75 .. and kits with chips and software.. for $150 - $175.. And they are getting it...And there isn't a lot for sale .. that I can see.. Maybe no demand for it? or no inventory? not sure..

I guess you just have to wait for the guy who needs it to come along. He will pay the most..

no all kits are the not  same there are some dogs out there that aren't worth 40 for full kit , there was a  guy in newsgroup a few days ago with I game kits at 4 for 200  very fair price , the glass that's 50 to 100 each isn,t selling unless its something rare , topper insert are  selling at 10 buck a pop  , just because its still in the casino  means nothing   some  casinos still have s2000 double diamonds ,that still makes a few bucks  but you couldn't sell that kit for 50 bucks imo ,  selling kits is not easy 1st you need right s/w and it has to be all there and working , also strips , then the buyer needs the type of kit you have to fit the cabinet they have  ,rt, 9in, 16in slant top ect,

Well I will sell you 100 pcs of Aristo Plexi's for $500 delivered and you can make more money, there is plenty of kits around for most all machines you are just looking at wrong places, we have over 4000 kits in stock for popular machines (believe me Aristo's are not) and don't advertise anywhere you would have searched probably. I will admit Buffalo is a good theme but 1 good and 9 so so themes don't average out, and it better be correct size needed too. You could buy that Buffalo glass retail (used) in Vegas right now for $25-40 a sheet and they would probably give you 10 pcs of other themes to go with it.

Yea.. I can see there could be big price differences.. these kits all have the softwar, chips, reel things, button inserts, all the glass including the toppers.. Many are brand new .. never used.. That said..

I realize that they still can be junk.. Look for a list of the higher priced ones.. like I was just looking at 2 pieces of "south park " glass for $350.. WOW.. I'm hoping I have some stuff like that..lol

Most of this stuff is BALLYS, WILLIAMS AND iGT..

Is there someone in Vegas , I can pay, to give me a honest appraisal ? Like .. retail - wholesale -

I have have 20000 items I have in my warehouse waiting to be listed.. Hitting up car part forums next.. have 20 pallets of new engine parts that have been here for a year.. and 40 pallets of new lighting waiting to be listed..4 pallets of remote control gas airplanes.. big ones.. Plus a lot more.. and I have a big auction tommarrow.. I can't stop..lol

if they are brand new never used kits  and they are good games they would have never sold them  they still have crap in many of their casinos  , they might be brand new  so so games that didn't make money  , harrahs didn't get so big giving anything away , the casinos in tunica ms still have games from 1990,s  early 2000,s in them

Without getting into detail.. I don't think these where supposed to be sold.. Toppers either. There more to the story.. but can't post it here..
It's still happening .. today.

As to the rest.. no clue if they are worth anything.. Just commenting what I see..
That's the reason for the thread.. try and figure it out.. before I just give it all away. too low..

I don't mind passing along a deal.. but no one wants to be ripped off.. and in this town.. ripped off is more likely what you would get...lol

Why do you need an appraisal, if you have someone willing to pay $100.00 ea????  Scratch Head
Jump on it and count it sold.

Do you have a website where I can see your kits?
And where in Vegas can I buy the buffalo glass? I can stop in..
I just search google.. and nothing comes up..for the buffalo one.. a lot of them in fact.. That's my problem.

Maybe the only way to be sure about the value is to ebay ?.. As I see you do.. Now it's worth what someone just bid it too..

Thanks

He said that's what they are worth.. he wasn't offering.. Besides.. it all stays together til I see offers for it all..

There over 140 kits of so.. Plus a lot of stand alone glass and software.. I have no clue of the total value here..

Just as a side note, that South park glass has been for sale forever. It's eBay, people can ask whatever they want, selling is what sets the value and one unknowing idiot paying too much doesn't raise the real value across the board

 I Agree

That is SO true.  Unfortunately, I've been that "unknowing idiot" from time to time.  A lot of us have.  I'm just glad I can laugh at it now. bawling

We've ALL been the unknowing idiot before. My point is we don't alter the overall market with our mistakes. One guy paying $500 for a pachislo machine doesn't change the fact that they can be bought for $150 all day long. If you can find a sucker to pay to much, good for you, I hope you can live with yourself. And if you can, I hope life catches up with you swiftly and justly

Ok that's great.. I'm just trying to find the market price.. Even that seem impossible..

I guess we can say on average.. the kits are apx $150 each.. That would get me close, I guess..

Since there seems not to be a good overall answer to this question..

In the end..each kit would need to sell on it's own.. at auction....to determine the real value..

I must have either some good ones.. or some real crap..

At of all them links .. I didn't recognize 1 game that I have..

I did notice most kits don't have the install instructions, all the chips or software.. and none have all the bags of stickers/inserts for the buttons and stuff..
I'm thinking that is what makes it the $150 kit, or more....

Gonna try and post the first day list my daughter made.. it's all bally.. she sorted the kits by mfg..
