Just a curious observer...

« on: November 01, 2013, 08:06:03 PM »

Looking for a replacement pull handle for a WMS 40X machine, or a way to shine it up. This one is pretty rusty. I saw that Rudy's has the complete pull handle assy but I just need the handle. Are these handles standard enough that one from an IGT machne would work, or is the mounting different?

Thanks for any help!

she wants a real shiny handle and ball on this machine. I saw one at Rudy's but wanted to check here first.

Why do I even bother replying to post in the WTB and  taking pictures when a member asks for parts   Scratch Head
I guess they want NIB on 15 year old parts. Or is $25.00 out of line?

OK 5 min with chrome polish
But now's it $45.00
Still cheaper than a $125.00 rechrome of a handle.

Man, look at the first pictures you put up. They show a dark handle, looked worn and maybe rusty & pitted to me even when enlarged. I couldn't tell and you said yourself it was not minty. Take a better picture next time - and try some decaf.  The $25 price was fine - I just didn't want another rusty handle, already have one of those, and yours didn't look any better than the one I have from the photo you took. What was it about the "No thank you" in my PM to you that you took offense to?

You know Rudy's has the same thing for $24 + s/h, plus includes the hub which I can use. I thought yours might be less if you wanted to sell the handle separately, but that's ok if you don't. No hard feelings on this end, but I'm retired so a little crap doesn't affect me anymore. Best of luck.

Because not everyone is as handy at this kind of stuff. Also, $20 for the work of getting it so nice is well worth the price for someone who doesn't have the means to do it themselves!
