Need help identifying please

I was on CraigsList a couple weeks ago (I can't stay away from it) and ran across someone selling some toppers pretty cheap so I bought them, sight unseen for most of them, I only seen the pic of one of them.  Later she came up with more so I bought them too.   Total of 9 toppers. The second ones aren't as nice as the first ones but I figure if I can get 3 or 4 of them working them I will be happy and maybe have some extra parts for later.  Anyway, I was wondering, I am gonna upload pictures of a couple of them and was wondering if anyone knew what kind they are??  They need allot of work and I know this but still will make a nice little something for me to tinker on when bored.  Anyway I thank you guys for the help, if possible.

ashyron, hey those look pretty good. I assume that when you say nine of them, they are the complete topper to include housing, faceplate and insert? Also in your pictures I cannot see a mounting block or plate, how do they attach to the machine? I also see that there are 2 different Ripley's inserts, I wonder if there are indvidual games that go with them. Clay, do you see these, there may be another game for you to look for.

OK So in a nutshell, all nine toppers have the inserts.  The first two pics show the best two of them all.  I believe there are three of them that are complete except for the plug to plug them in and the hardware to mount them to anything.  My plan was to get them working and then buy an L bracket and mount the topper to that and to the wall.  I haven't looked at all of them but I have been told that all the internal parts are in all of them and the inserts are there for all of them.  Nota all of them have power cords and most of them have dents or scratches of some kind of blemish to them and NOT A ONE has the mounting hardware.  Some LED light are missinag and some of them don't have the fancy candle for them, heck, not any kind of candle. 

So a question that has little to do with toppers.  The same lady that I bought the toppers from also had to casino chairs too (the steel floor).  I bought those too cause they were fairly cheap and brougt them home and cleaned them right away,  You'll see in the pics.  My qeston to you is this - does Mikohn Gamging make slot machines of just accessorles??  The back of one of these chairs says Trivial Persuit and the onther one says Yahtzee.  I'll try to post a couple of pictures again and see if it turns out.

Well, Mikohn was into alot of things casino related, of course they are best known for their led displays, but at one time had a Gaming Division and developed these particular video game series that were distributed by Sigma for the UV-1700. I believe they were bought by Progressive Gaming Intl, which in turn was purchased by IGT? I think there is still a Mikohn corporation but am unsure of what they manufacture now. Maybe someone else can chime in or correct any mistakes I may have made in my statement.

I believe you got it all correct Tacman.
I remember when Yahtzee and Battleship first came out. Great games! I imagine they had a hard time getting Battleship approved in Nevada as it was/is a Hasbro children's game.
Also remember seeing Mikohn game developer Olaf Vancura on a TV interview stating how difficult it was to calculate the odds for the Yahtzee game. Probably a piece of cake compared to today's video slot games.

Yeah Wayne, what's up with that? I am interested in the statement "adapted UV-1700 chassis" though. Is it similair to a shufflemaster or NXT conversion on the WMS 550 and just uses a proprietarry MPU to run the software but interfaces with the existing backplane and other equipment? Come on Wayne, inquiring minds want to know!

I bought it for my son, it is a 2005 Progressive Gaming, Sigma with an extra tall top, I don't have the software yet for it and will likely post pics if and when I get it up and running.  It does look cool though.  The top box is trimmed with little stars that light up and flash in patterns similar to a topper.

Oh, and sorry ashyron for the diversion your thread took. I would shoot cfh a line. He's been working on the Sigma UV-1700 machines, which I believe these toppers would be for. Ask him to check the voltages and wirng going to plugs in the top box for candle or topper connection. At least you should get the proper voltage to get it running, unless someone already knows what voltages are needed to run Sigma toppers?

Yes uv1700 main board.  There are some boards in the top box, one with a cf card slot.  I haven't got into this very far yet since I have been busy lately.  I'm on a break now from shopping out slots (s2000 Pinball needs lots of bulbs).

Well Wayne, if Clay reads your post about these new titles available for the UV-1700, he may just be able to get his hands on the software, who knows? I know he's done rather well aquiring most of the other known Sigma titles and has provided some nice videos of each of them.

So anyway, sorry about my typing earlier, but after being up for 31 stressful hours I should have not tried to write anything.  I wasn't aware I had made so many typos until I got up and reread what I wrote.  It makes me want to  and hide.  But past that, thanks for the information I have got now.  I guess I was in the middle of sending in pics of the other chair I bought but didn't send it so here are the pics of the other chair.

I don't care, it's all interesting reading to me.  I think it's pretty fascinating because up to this point all ever did was put a quarter (ticket these days) into a machine and pull an arm or push a button.    At least 2 toppers but I think 3 of them have a power cord on them they just don't have the male plug on them.  If I were to post pictures of the inside of one of them could someone be able to tell if is wired correctly to just plug in?



And one more thing,  that KISS game looks awesome.  If you need a place to store it, send it over here and I'll store it for you.

ahyron, those chairs are really nice and look good with your setup. Are the chairback displays on velcro? I see you did not put them back on as of yet. You're not gonna believe the difference when you throw a few toppers up with the pattern chasing leds going!!

The Battleship game was a video slot. Do not believe it ever came in a reel game. Yahtzee on the other hand had a couple of different versions including video and reel games. NLG member Powerstroke had and I think sold a Yahtzee reel game last year.

I had two of them and still have one.  My mother-in-law has the other one.  She has been playing it daily/nightly for about 7 months now with no issues.  The yahtzee's are pretty fun to play.  -B.
