Buying and Selling...

So I'm not naming any names...YET! But why is it when some folks sell you something they can't wait to get your to push the button on paypal to get their money but getting them to ship the merchandise is quiet the ordeal.  I guess I should pay more attention to the "Karma" counters on peoples profiles.  I made a purchase last week and was asked multiple times if I could do paypal and get the seller paid, I did go ahead and send the paypal which appears to be a premium price for a item only to find out we are two days into the next week and the item I was told would be shipped on Friday or Saturday still apparently has not been shipped.  This is one of the most friendly helpful sites I've ever been on and I want to trust people but this is starting to make me second guess myself.

Is it asking to much to expect the merchandise that has already been paid for to be shipped in a reasonable amount of time?

Mike,  Hopefully you get your purchase.  I know I do not roll that way as many others do not unless something happened to the seller.  I always try to ship next day after payment if I am selling something and most I buy from here do the same.  Sure it will work out I hope.  Sounds like you are anxious and overdue on your purchase.  Did you get a tracking # -etc.?

I have not received a tracking number, will give it a little longer.  I have purchased a number of things from the folks on this site and this is only the second time it has been difficult and it was not from the same seller.  I hope it works out, the item i purchased is something I've been contemplating for a while I when I saw it decided to pull the trigger.  Beginning to think I should have been a bit more careful in my vendor choice.  Odd thing is, the vendor has already offered to sell me additional items, glad I waited to see how this first purchase went.  Live and learn.

By no means did I mean to imply that the folks on here are not standing behind their products and services because with only two exceptions the service, pricing etc... has been outstanding.  The help/assistance received here is second to none.  Great group of folks.

I may talk price with a potential buyer, but never ask for payment until the item(s) are box, weighed and a total with actual shipping.
Only then do I ask for payment and then drop off the box at Fed-Ex that day or the next at the latest.
I've been in your position and as a buyer I don't appreciate the excuses, so I don't conduct my business that way.
I live by the old saying, Treat people as you would like to be treated.
I also believe that a handshake seals a deal, so if you tell me you want it, it's your and getting boxed up.
