I discovered accidently where this error message is coming from. I was changing a game this morning, and I put the O/S card in the Game Card slot and the game card in the O/S slot. By the time I noticed it was displaying the files in the game CF card on the screen. I shut if off as fast as I could, but by then it was too late.....

NOW, every time I try to install a game I get "PREPART DSS SIGNATURE VALIDATION FAILED" Doesn't matter which game, the error is coming from the MPU, I'm guessing??

This explains why I have 2 other machines sitting with the same error codes, by doing too much too quickly without watching wth I'm doing, typical of me I admit!

So, I have 3 machines down now with the "PREPART DSS SIGNATURE VALIDATION FAILED" error bacause of my carelessness.... There HAS to be a way to clear the errors from the machines CPU, but I've exhausted all my efforts. If no one here will help, I guess I'm SOL, and I don't have to wonder why!

At least I might help other members to stop, slow down, be patient and take your time with what you're doing and avoid the problems I created for myself by always being in a hurry!!!

Cordially,
JR
