Couple of questions for what I exactly need....
Currently the machine is set up and running fine, 4 denominations working fine via the button to the right of the max bet.

Machine is a short reel glass machine,

So far I purchased and have the touch pad sensor, 4 way led light box, multi denom lense (25/50/1/2), and the cable that goes between the sensor and light box, and then from the light box to???
I assume I need a 663 display? The display above the ticket printer?  (Remember it's a short reel glass)
The issue is that I seen a pic in another thread and the door harness to that display looks different then mine.  I currently up have a large molex as well as a 2 wire small molex plugged into my 552 display.  The pic shows a smaller black plug from the door harness and then the cable over to the touch pad.  I understand the cable to the touch pad, but it doesn't look like my door harness would plug into the new 663 board.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated on what parts I need.,,
My machine up top, 2nd pic is what I'm asking about.
Top pic my machine, bottom pic 663 display??.

They make an adapter for that and Rudys deals has had them in the past. Otherwise I think you have to change the door harness.

Ah, I see.  I'd entertain an adapter, but whole harness... I'd just deal with the button.

Anyone know the adapter part number?  This one off Rudy's looks like it 'could' be the adapter...

Hotrod,  I see your questions.  One is are you talking about your lowr door vfd--(last relese-3001 plc chip). ?  I see lower pic with everything unplugged.  What is the date of game?  5-5-2 short display should work.

It's an '03  machine.

Just to clarify.  In my original post, the top pic is my machine, the bottom pic is a pic I found on another thread, showing the touch pad setup.

On mine there is no open plug to plug the touch pad into

I see,  perhaps I missed that somewhere.  Your top pic shows nothing but looks to be a 55-2 prob.  That works fine with all short glass -Depending on the theme and there are variations.   Determine what you need with help from here and you should be able to purchase the components based on Proff. guiadance.  Prob. No rudy involved but,  Vendors and folks that know.  --Simple problem- I would think.

Thanks, I'm hoping that someone can chime in from this board to.
I guess I'm just lost on what else is required.  My upper pic was to show that my door harness looks different then the harness in the lower pic.  The lower pic is of a working short wheel glass touch pad setup (not mine).

I'm hoping that my 552 display will work as you suggested, I just need a little guidance as to how and with what  yes

Sure all that will come.  The more info/details--Helps all determining the fix or troubleshooting.  You should not have to wait long.  Chk my class. on my multi-denom. package.  A vendor here SHOULD help you out I would think.  I do not like saying things often but--perhaps check with the blueridge and some others here  at the top of your main menu here.

663 display is required for touchpad denom, it's the only one with a plug for the shadow box and concerto g from a 552 display requires the adapter of you don't have a door harness with the black plug to match the 663 FD display socket

I think I have some 663 displays without the boxes. That will be cheaper than buying a complete 663 display.

CV, I may be interested.  What do you mean 'without the boxes'?
Also would you happen to have that harness adapter? Or what would you charge for a door harness?
Lastly, any chance you'd have a short reel glass in black (or dark blue) that has the multiple-denom graphic on it? (The finger pointing)
You can PM me if you prefer.
Thanks!

Thanks foster!  I'll wait to hear back from CV, but if they can only get me the display and glass, I'll be ordering that adapter.  Way eaiser then a harness switch out.

Yes, I have a clear 97 and a set 31.  I've done it once before, it's a chore, but the weekend before Thanks giving I hope to have all the parts and give it a few hours to set it all up from scratch.  It's getting a game change as well, and I want to clear it because I set up the accounting at .5cents last time and the meters running forever are maddening (I don't want to disconnect the meters)

Waiting to hear back from CV on parts availability.

I believe I have found all the items I need, just awaiting a PP invoice from Roslyn.  Thanks to all who have helped so far  wave

One last question, the touch pad I am getting seems to show a very short harness, maybe 4-5" long.  Is this a harness for a long real glass?  Being my 7 seg display that I am replacing is higher and to the far left (from inside the door) will I need to extend that harness? (As seen in the completed pic above)
No problem at all if I do, I have plenty of 22g wire, solder, and heat shrink.

The little harness I'm sending is 3", and that includes both molex plugs...it's the identical one shown on Rudy's site that was out of stock. Little guys are kinda rare it seems...

CV, yes, I am confident that is the correct one I got from you for the door harness to 7seg display.
What I was meaning is the harness that goes from the touch pad to the 7 segment display.  In the pic I posted (4th reply from top where I said "this is what I bought") the harness is very short.  Comparing that to Ron's reply "this is what it should look like when done" the harness from the touch pad to 7seg looks to be 12-14" or so.  This is the one that I might? have to extend...

You probably will, but like you said, some 22ga wire and a little splicing and you'll be on your way
