Welcome to NLG

If you are asking about the new Canadian Polymer 5 and 10 bills, the short answer is yes
its just a software update, the WBA 23 has an eprom in the base that would need to be re programed with the new software
the trick is finding someone with the software, and since they have just been released, I'm thinking it will be a while.

yes, the wba23 accepts the new 20's, 50's and 100's already. any idea where i can get a copy of the bin to reflash them? where i work, we have all different kinds of machines. IGT, Aristocrat, Bally, Atronic etc. I have the programmer from JCM already. Some of the bill acceptors have the removable flash memory, and some are built in and cannot be removed.

Almost all of our WBAs on the floor go into contant hardware errors since these flashes and upgrades for the new polymer bills. We are now phasing them off of the floor because of the contant issues. Not a problem for a home machine I'm sure, since it would only be once in a while. A floor with so many, and each of them going into errors once in a while, was crazy insane here.

We are replacing them with the UBAs we already have, and any new machines that come in, are coming in with the ivisions. So now we have three idfferent kinds here as far as I know. We have the UBA 10, the UBA 14 (very few of these), and the ivisions.

No sorry, I have no buying or selling power, or any power at all really. Government Casinos are heavily regulated, I'm just a lowly employee.

I can't even own a machine!!!  no

Interesting.
Is this part of your employment contract that you can't own one ?
I was thinking of going to dealer school (with my 19yr old son) he was looking at a part time job.
This sounds like it would be a non-starter.

Where does your surplus go ?

I am thinking it goes to some provincial goverment surplus group for disposal - this is not federal.
OLC (Ontario Lottery Comission) and AGA (Alberta Gaming Authority) are different groups.
