S+ Slot MPU Boards;

Problem; Blows fuse.
Solution; Replaced CR5...came up with 44 code, so repl. U1.

Problem; No #2 reel.
Solution; Replaced U2.

Problem; Game won't start, no display, no LEDs, & no door close.
Solution; Replaced Q26 (checks good in or out of ckt.)

Problem; Can't clear 61 code.
Solution; Replaced U14.

Problem; Disabled validator
Solution; Replaced U6 & K4.

Problem; All outputs zizzing & flashing on & off.
Solution; Check 2A fuse first, & replaced U43.

Problem; Will not activate bill validator.
Solution; Replaced K4.

Problem; Blackout.
Solution; Replaced U54 (had 8031 in it...it needs a 8032 for "newer" game versions.

Problem; Will not operate validator.
Solution; Replaced U23.

Problem; Door open error every 5 or 10 minutes.
Solution; Replaced Q26.

Problem; Constant 41, 42, or 43 tilt codes
Solution; Replaced C21.

Problem; Smoke escaped.
Solution; Replaced Q6, U5, & U8...Machine was vapor locked, with Hopper 172, lockout, divertor, J/P, all pay lines, & door lit up.  Q6 took care of the door, U8 took care of the rest of the lights, 'cept for the hopper lights...U5 took care of them.

Problem; Blown 2A fuse, no display, & no play.
Solution; Replaced 2A fuse, Q6, U5, & U27.






S+ Display Bd;

Problem; Blackout.
Solution; Replaced U4.

Problem; Scrambled display( most 7 seg. displays were lit up with garbage)
Solution; Replaced U3 (4028 BCD to decimal decoder).

Jay commented:  Who is your supplier of gaskets to seal in that smoke ?

Mike: The "problems" are usually what ever the tech writes on the repair tag...smoke escaped still beats "bad".

I'm still looking for smoke proof gaskets!

Jay:  I thought you might just be checking to see if anyone was reading your posts......
