Either twist lock or press fit that socket comes out of the bottom of that assembly. Some people, myself included, prefer to just pop the button cap off the top with a small screwdriver and grab the bulb with a forceps or similar device

It's IGT.  From a game king.  Gonna try popping the tops off...  These don't twist off like some do...

Yep, the newer ones twist and pull out pretty easy...older ones do not.  Anymore, I just use a pearing knife to pop the lens off since the blade is so thin, and then a small pair of needle nose pliers to grab and pull out the bulb.

That was the trick--the knife did it.  Thanks all!  Can't believe all 9 bulbs had burnt out!  It's like new now.

haha
Those things are held together by a small circular rib on the white plastic switch
and a small indentation inside the black plastic button body.

Buzz said it right, grab both pieces and twist to pop apart.

Bunker the key word is turn it Clock Wise to get it apart. I think IGT must have hired a left handed China-man to design and manufacture these buttons.

Even when you know how to do it, some of these buttons do not twist apart easy. If you think you're about to break the button, you almost have it. I go with the knife to the top, and pliers to grab the bulb too.

What's worse if the black plastic body is old and brittle sometimes...when trying to get the switch out, it busts up!! Ugh!  bawling
