I have a bad reel motor that needs to be replaced .  How hard is it to replace the reel stripe on another reel.  Are there marks on the reel you start and end from?

It's very simple. Many of us do it all the time when changing kits. The only thing to watch out for is if it's the first time that the strips have been taken off the reel since they were first installed, the glue at the seam might be fairly strong and the strips might be brittle. If you're careful they should come off with no damage.

The 5000 doesn't have glue it has pins to hold in, just pull the complete basket off, pull the clip and it will pull off, a tip on the 5000 replace the rubber orings, when they get hard they cause a tilt, as they act like a shock absorber on those large diameter reels

Where can I find the new o-rings for the reel?  Also when replacing the reel stripes do they have to start at a certain place on the reel?

We have the correct "o" rings in stock, here is a pic of the reel strip staring point, but unless you are changing games leave them on the basket and just pull it with the strip on, the c clip and washer is all that has to be removed to take it loose to replace the reel, also some other pics of how it looks apart and the way the strip pins in to attach
