I'm still holding out hope that I can resurrect my Bally military slot.  I posted in the Bally E series section a couple of weeks ago looking for help.  I had fried the hopper board due to an errant coin.  Replaced the board but machine still doesn't function.  Barry's last response in the previous post suggested I probably had residual damage in the I/O board or the MPU board.  Anyway, the reason I feel the reel control board is bad........ when I connect the plugs for the reel bundle the coin diverter on the door disengages.  If I swap in a working reel board, the diverter remains engaged.  However, the machine still won't accept coins, even though the "insert coin" lamp is illuminated.  I just figured if I could pick up a board cheap enough, it would be one less thing to be concerned with and I could continue searching elsewhere for the problem. I've got a couple of different CC-10 coin comparitors that I want to try at some point too. I'm no electronics expert, basically just a parts swapper.  Hopefully, I can stumble across the problem & fix it.  As I said in my last post,  don't want to stick a bunch of money in this machine.  Not too many people want to play it.  It just keeps calling to me to come fix it instead of letting it sit in the corner.

Maybe this will help.. I've heard that coinslots works on Bally boards,  http://www.coinslots.com/  I also know that K-Lar in Vegas repairs Bally E-2000 boards (702)-363-9998, talk to Larry Weber. If you really want to fix this machine, you need to box up your boards and have them checked and repaired instead of buying something used and untested..  I hopes this helps.

Have you tested the coin switch? I have replaced one switch recently and had another which had a bad solder joint on the switch.
