igt s+ haywire machine going haywire??

hey there, i have an igt s+ haywire deluxe machine. machine seems to work great, i have only one issue. the machine automatically pays out the larger wins and credits the smaller ones. how can i get the machine to credit all wins until the cash/credit button is pressed? is this a problem with the machine or something i can change in settings?? any help is appreciated. thanks

It's a setting -- you're likely near the credit limit, so any win that would push the credit meter over the credit limit will pay out immediately from the hopper.

What SP chip are you running?  The answer to that determines how to change the setting.  This page explains how to find out what SP chip you're running.

Also, to make the change, you will need to have zero credits on your machine, so plan to play out or cash out your current credits.

ok so I checked my chips. im running a 00 6419 and a 21 1027. what do I do to change the settings so all wins go to credit??

I also have another question. I have an igt s+ chaos machine that is missing the 2 chips on the board. do I have to buy the appropriate chips for that particular machine or is there just standard chips that work in there for all machines?? and where would I go about getting the chips??

i figured it out, my credit limit was set at 300 max. i was 280ish when the problems started. i adjusted the credit limit to 3000 so it should solve my issue. as for the chips that im missing its the game prom and the reel prom. is the game prom specific to the game?? where would i be able to get those 2 chips for my chaos slot

and then the appropriate game prom which i havent figured out yet lol

another thing, on one machine the cash credit button flashes and on the other machines it doesnt. is that an option somewhere? anyway i could change it not to flash??

You're looking for a Type 2 chip. If you have any special stuff (ID023 for your bill acceptor, Montana Credits, etc.) then look for those listed.

for instance:
SP945 Type 2

would work for you if no bill acceptor and you don't need any special options.
