Colds not the word for it here in Michigan... It's freezing..  Frozen   We got 8-10" of snow from the storm and the temp dropped to -15 with wind chills of -35 last night, and that's in the Detroit Metro area not the UP..  First time since I've lived in this house that I was concerned my pipes might freeze. So I kept the faucets dripping all last night. Just heading back out for round 3 with the snow plow blocking my drive way since yesterday. It's as warm as its going to get outside now +3  Frozen in Snow Bundle Up  so time to see it the vehicles battery's survived the cold night..  Now I think I understand why my parents moved and retired in Tucson.   Tumbleweed swimming

OMG.. It's way too cold to be out there. I got all 3 vehicles to start, but almost didn't get into my truck, the doors were frozen shut. I started it by remote so I had to get inside. Almost ended with frost bite getting it open. I had remove my gloves to grab the door handle. I couldn't feel my fingers by the time it opened. I got my son to clear the drive way while I started everything. They have already cancelled school again tomorrow due to the cold. I'd take pictures but I don't want to freeze the camera.

I won't tell you guys what temperature it is in Tucson right now  muted.

How in the hell do you guys tolerate life in places that get so cold? About April/May I'll get a better idea I'm sure.

18" to 20"  of snow fell were i am in Michigan. just 10 miles south of me they got about 14" of snow . Rural living has its drawbacks . All my calls today were frozen pipes . Funny thing is people say how did that happen   Silly Me! maybe -16F had something to do with it . Just a guess . Every thing in my service truck a 4500 cab forward GMC 16 ft box is  copper or steel  and it stays cold forever in these temps . Every thing i touch sticks to your hand . This is just stupid cold and then the wind started to whip up . Made great money but froze my A$$ off . Just got over having the flu for 2 weeks and today kicked my but   P.B.

Yeah that's about right. Tucson and most of lower elevation AZ is pretty mild and nice for winter. Summer on the other hand....
I have been around the Bullhead City, Laughlin, Parker, and Lake Havasu areas in the summer and speaking as a guy who was born and raised in Tucson, the heat in that area of AZ is just BLISTERING!
Anyway, I feel for you guys in the cold, I would be pretty upset with temps like what I'm hearing about in the "vortex".

Here in Texas we get the best of both worlds.
At 6:30 this morning it was 14 deg.s with clear sky's,
then at 6:30 tonight it's 44 deg.s with a chance of rain.

It can be here! It was <32F Thanksgiving morning and I had to warm up the electric smoker with a hair dryer to get it to kick on as it was colder than the lowest temp the controller would recognize!

Mid Michigan here. We had  -17* F last night and it hit +6* F today. We only got 4" snow from that storm. We had the coldest temps not seen in 30 years. No school for the third day. Drifting and freeze bite warnings caused the cancellation.

Rode my Ski-Doo many times in the UP at -20* F .

Should be able ride the Ski-Doo down the frozen Rifle river to the Saginaw Bay now.

Should have enough ice on the Saginaw Bay to drive the truck on to the ice to do some perch and walleye fishing on Sat!

The St. Clair river connecting Lake Huron and Lake St Clair was clogged with ice over the weekend and they had to shut down the Ferry to Canada out of Marine City. Who knows when that will reopen. That forces people to the Blue Water bridge in Port Huron and 50+ mile to a trip. Pictures are not the greatest but Canada's just on the other side, but you couldn't see it through the fog. My phones camera sucks..

We ride are sleds across the ice from St. Ignace to Mackinaw Island. Interesting fact, snowmobiles are the only motorized vehicle allowed on the Island other then the emergency vehicles and planes.

Probably could do that there , right Gary? If a person has a passport!

So have you tried posting them when they appear (to you) to be upside down? Maybe they will be "right side up" when they post?

I've tried a couple different things, and every time I post a phone pic, its upside down in my post. I have had to send the pics to my email, then post them using the computer for them to be correct. I should have known better when I tried it again.
