How long is a short?

WWW
« on: January 10, 2014, 07:45:46 PM »

Hi All
Well haven't worked on any of these so I am seeing what looks like  strange problem to me.

I have no switch error in diagnostics. However when I get doors close I get the Bill Validator stacker open. See attached pics.

Any input appreciated.

You don't say if you actually have a BV installed, number of issues

The screen shot shows all 0 if your doors where closed you would see a 1, check harness and connections
BV Comm Errors has many answers

If you RAM Cleared and setup the game, what type of BV did you select, and what type of BV do you have installed, if you have a WBA installed, do you have the Comm Board installed on the side, is your Cash Box inserted all the way in (Stacker Error)

Maybe some pictures of your BV

Hello thanks for the input.
I have not done a ram clear. Actually I had all doors close. BV door bypassed and all doors show zero when closed, I can toggle them in the processor I/O screen.. I have a WBA installed but unsure what you mean by comm board? This is installed the same as a bally 6000 or IGT 2000. I don't have the CF clear rom, and I actually thought I might need to do a Ram Clear. I guess its time to purchase a RAM Clear CF Card.

BV for Bally and IGT use different software, so that's the first thing to check

Looking at your WBA from the side which has the plug and Harness, trace your Harness from the plug along to the CPU, if the Harness goes straight from the plug to the CPU and does not connect to another Board then your Comm Board is not installed

From the plug the Harness runs to a small green board roughly 2" long by 3/4 high which installs into the connector of the CPU and you should be running ID003 software in your BV

How did you check that the Stacker Switch was ok?

Thanks for your help.
I checked the stacker switch by using the switch diagnostic page. I do not see a comm board attached . I'm wondering how it worked in the casino without one. I will get into the shop tomorrow and update.

most likely  your seller swapped the dbv unit  go into setup and see what type of dbv its set for on alphas , either the casino or big bulk buyer  changes out dbv  for a wba  so they can resell the better one , and make extra profit. same happens with gen 2 printers , mei  cash boxes
