OK ttth so I was on eBay and ran across these chips and bought them they are numbers 0006 clear and 0026 set demon.  Will these work with all my S+ machines?  Scratch Head Help  I was reading somewhere and hearing things that there are different set/demon chips for different games.  Here is a list of my S+ games (and a kit I have coming in) and want to make sure I can use these chips when I change a machine over to a different kit.

9 inch Haywire Deluxe (kit) replacing a Double Diamond,
9 inch Double Diamond Deluxe,
9 inch Triple Play
9 inch Five Times Pay
RT Volcano (yes, the one off CraigsList yes yes )

So will these chips work with all these machines?  They are all the same machine cases ( Scratch Head I guess).  I have so many machines now that I have had to move out to a dingy to sleep, the  CaptainHappy Worried is full. bust gut laughing bust gut laughing  Thanks for the help.

Most of the time you just have to try it. I don't think there is a list of the one that work for each SP chip. Here is a listing for
different key & clear chips for different machines. Hope the is helps.

Scratch Head According to my notes the Volcano RT uses SP0874 and all the 9" S+'s use SP 0731.  I don't know what the Haywire Deluxe will use until I actually have that kit in my greedy little hands. bust gut laughing bust gut laughing

I believe on the S+ series slots your clear and set chips will work okay, no matter what SP chip you are running.  The set 04 chip is used for PE+ Pokers Not S+'s.  The clear chip will work for either/or.

Okay,
The SET026 will work for your SP874,

but you'll need a SET015 for your SP731's.

I don't know if the SET026 is backwards compatible for the SP874.

The SET026 will work fine for your SP731. Most of the differences with these set chips have to do with SAS or MISER operations or progressive setup. For the home user who only needs to activate the dbv, they are pretty much the same, except that the 026 will set penny denominations on SP chips that support it (731 does not). For stand-alone progressives, the older chips use the DIP switches and the newer ones use SET090, 086 etc.

Set chips are pretty simple to use for enabling a dbv when there is no SAS etc.
Generally:
Install the SET chip in the board, install the board, and turn on the machine. Look for a 0 in the Coins In.
NOTE: You don't even need to replace the hopper for this procedure -- just leave it out to make things easier.
Press the test button and look for 9  x.
Press the spin button to set x = 1 (turns on the DBV)
Press test button.
0 appears in credit meter.
press the spin button to increment through the available denominations. numbers are in cents (2500 = $25)
when the desired denomination is in the credits window, press the test button.
Turn off the machine and replace the SP chip.

I'll have to  Cactus  out on Saturday.  We have Sundays off so that's out.  Dad and I will be out of town tomorrow and probably won't be home until very late tomorrow night.  Yea, Dad had way too much fun on Easy Street and was afraid to even play the Game King.  You would have had to pry it out of his cold dead hands  bust gut laughing bust gut laughing bust gut laughing and that won't be for a while.  rotflmao rotflmao  Also, my Bostitch eprom pullers came in today so I'll try to remember to bring one out for you. For home use EFT and SAS have no practical purpose as it needs a central server to validate.  EFT and SAS (Slot Accounting System) are used to validate ticket vouchers as well as do stuff like point play, free play, etc.  So for home use SET chips are only used to enable bill Validator, set denomination, and setup progressive settings (if you have progressive hardware on your slot machine).
