Of the 4 circuit breakers on the main switch, I found one to be bad.  It was pushed in but the connection was flaky - that machine would go on and off.

Does anyone know if I should try to remove the single circuit breaker or buy the whole switch assembly?

Also, I noticed that the circuit breakers on top were 2.5 and not 5 like the other 6000 I have - all 4 were 5A on my other machine.  Is this correct? or should they all be 5A or does it even matter?

If it were me, I would replace the circuit breaker. However if they are all supposed to be 5 amp breakers then I would change them all.
It does matter what the ratings are, you may only see breakers trip under certain conditions when the load is higher.. Under fused is better
than being over fused, ideally you want to be properly fused.

Do you know what the proper fuse rating should be?  My other 6000 has four 5A.  I didn't know if the two fuses were dropped down to 2.5A by design because of the progressive.

No, I don't but it makes no sense to add load (progressive unit) and then reduce the size of the protection circuits.

I have about 60 S6000 and all of mine are 2.5's on top and 5's on the bottom.
