My machine was missing the CPU board -- got one today, installed a new battery, then installed the board -- it threw a 83 code.

I've been reading posts about how to clear the code...some of the things didn't work  for me - but -

I came on a post about jumping terminal J-14, so I did that. I got the machine to read out  SF, CH P, and then to CL P as directed.

The next step was to remove the jumper and restart, which I did. The machine was supposed to reboot, but didn't.

Then, the machine threw an 82 code, which is a power or door open. I took the key and reset the machine, the code went away, the reels turned slowly, and now the display is blank.

I've tried the jumper process several times, but still can't get the machine to boot up.

Occasionally, one of the reels will turn a little -- but they sound weak to me.

I've tried all kinds of jumpers on the board, cleaned all corrosion, sometimes I'll get an 82 code -- when I clear it with the key -- nothing lights up again.

I did take the hopper out and turned the machine on -- it didn't throw a code.

Could I possibly have a bad CPU or a bad power supply ?

I need some expert guidance !

Thanks,

Jim

Found this empty plug and wondered what was supposed to be there.
