Operator Menu - Key/Clear Chip - Tito kit

I've have had many S+ machines and can repair them pretty well.  I purchased my first S-2000 machine and I'm completely lost trying to get into the menus.  I think I'm in the "ATTENDENT MENU" when the door is closed and I turn the jackpot reset key.  I can't figure out how to get into the "OPERATOR MENU".  With the door open and I pressed the button on the main board on the left side I can get into ACCOUNTING.  I want to set the correct Date and. TIME for the printed voucher.

Question 1:  How to get into the OPERATOR MENU?
Question 2:  Where is a TITO kit located and what does it look like - I want my machine to be able to read and print usable tickets back into the bill/ticket validator.
Question 3:  There are 2 key resets on the right side - one is for jackpot reset and not sure what the other is use for it's has a barrel type key
Question4:   My game is a TRIPLE CASH KEYS with chips SG000198 and VS011GXO - what key chip and clear chip do I need?

Operator menu - You have to press the white button on the MPU. It's on the lower left side of the machine when you open the door. 'Service' and 'Cash out' buttons navigate the menu(s), 'Spin reels' selects the menu to enter, and the 'Max Bet' button is like the Enter button on your computer, it changes what you have selected and backs out of the menus.

JP Reset - The one in the middle of the machine with a small key is the reset. The other? I assume is a lock for the door..

Clear/Key - You will need an (IVC00224 Clear chip) and a (KEY00045 Key chip)

Don't go farting around too much after entering the menu's.. Plenty of info on everything here.. How to's and whatnot.

Thanks for help, I was able to get into the menu to change the date and time.  I will also purchase the key/clear chips just in case I should need them.  Thanks for info on the Tito kit.  Still not sure why there is 2 key jackpot resets.

We have games with 2 reset key switches as well. The most recent batch were high denom games ($5, $10). We figured it was a form of security/verification that required 2 attendants to key off bigger wins. The hand-pay amounts can get pretty hefty in the high roller games. This is only our theory, so it could be completely wrong, but it seemed logical enough when we only seen it on high denom games.

Roz, With high denom games do they have a way of adding credits without entering bills?
Lets say you have a $100.00 single line machine. to put two thousand dollars on the machine would a player have to enter 20 hundred dollar bills?
seem to be a buzz kill for the player if each spin you have to enter a hundred each time and the machine would only accept $100 bills as you can't have a partial credit for a $20 or $50

Just wondering if the extra key was for access to EFT so an attendant could put a few thousand on a machine for a player? Lord knows I have NEVER played in the high limit rooms.

...and now, the real answer as to why there's a "second" jackpot reset switch:

It's for "jackpot to credit", and it's more common on higher denomination machines, which explains why Roz's batch of high-denom machines has them.

When the machine is configured properly, when you hit a handpay jackpot, the "extra" keyswitch is used to add the jackpot amount to the credit meter, rather than having it paid out by hand by an attendant.  In a casino environment, especially on a higher denomination game where wins of $1200 or more are frequent, when a player hits a taxable jackpot, the machine locks up, the attendant arrives, issues the W-2G for the win, and then turns the keyswitch to add the win to the player's credit meter.

If the player is a real high roller, they have an attendant stationed right there with them as they play.  As they hit taxable jackpots, the attendant makes a note on a log, turns the key, and the player resumes playing.  Once the player is done for the session, all of the wins on that log are tallied up for a single W-2G for the session.


Neon: in most casinos nowadays, the high rollers can purchase TITO tickets from the high limit cage for $1,000 or more apiece.  Then they can load them into the machines and play, rather than having to feed dozens of bills into the machines.

Very cool to know what the REAL reason is for the 2nd JP key!  to you, Knagl!

Wish they did that where I play, such a PITA to have to walk out with my pockets stuffed full of W-2Gs... Yah, right!

I'm a little late to this hijacked discussion and I've been drinking, but I'm going to post anyway . I've seen the pre-printed ticket guys before. One had a pack of them sticking out of his shirt pocket, spinning a $20 a spin Bally "Fireball" machine for HOURS. I have also seen a roped-off bank of high denom. slots with an attendant already standing at attention, at the time the player wasn't even there to play them yet. Now I'll have to look for this second reset key next time I'm in Vegas....pretty interesting!

at least on my machines that came from AC, it is the W-2G key (jackpot to credits) what this allowed the casinos to do especially on high $$ machines is to turn that key when you got a payout of $1200 or more, and it would leave the credits on the machine so a handpay would not have to be completed, what it also did was add that amount to the w-2g total (you get a w-2g form on every $1200+ jackpot handpay) so they didnt have to create a w-2 after every large win. then when you finished playing you would get a w-2g with all the $1200+ winnings together for that one machine instead of multiples
