new   I have been reading through the forums and feel lucky to have a site that has so many helpful users.   Clap

I just purchased my very first slot for the man cave.  It is an IGT Triple Stars manufactured in 04' "picture attached".  The machine itself is in awesome shape and really looks, sounds and plays great.  It is a penny slot and still has around 6k credits showing.  It does not have a hopper or bill validator installed and has no slot to insert coins.  When I power it on, it goes through its boot up process and gives a bill validator not found message.  It will get past this message and will then allow the game to function.

So far I have bypassed the key lock above the pull handle which allows me to remove the "Call Attendant" message that shows when a large amount is hit. I still have a few noob questions and please forgive me if these have been covered hundreds of times.

1. Is there a wiring mod I can do, that would allow me to add a switch that would increase credits?
2. Is there a download location to get a service manual?
3. Is there a thread that would help explain to a new user what all of the internal programming switches are used for?

Thanks in advance.  My goal is to hopefully get this slot setup for free play in my home office.

 NLG Welcome  p100

I see you have not received replies to your WTB  items. You can contact some of the venders  at the top of the
home page like CV Slots, Slots 4 Home, Rudy's Deals or any of the many venders listed.

There is a mod for adding credits, maybe someone can jump in with the details.

The NLG File System "Downloads" has those manuals but you have to have about 10 post to gain access. (I think?)

The manuals will help you understand the parts and workings of the machine since there is not manual
on internal programming switches.

Ron thank you so much for the welcome-mat   Hail  I'm currently reading up when I can and trying to dissolve all of the info NLG has to offer.

Erb's, Thanks for the direct link... On their site they don't have any info about the boards installation and operation.  Do you have any knowledge about how it installs?

Thanks friends

I believe instructions will come with the unit. There are members on here that have installed these and would be able to help you out if you run into problems.

that link doesn't look like any of the free play boards i have ever seen for the s2000. i think the way the comparators worked changed in between the s+ and s2000 and they may not be compatible(the free play board i built for my s2000/igames wont work on an s+). i would try to contact them and see what its for.
