It is my extreme pleasure once again to kick off this years 5th Annual Bettor Slots NLG Giveaway....yeah !!!  I look forward to this every year and this year is a real milestone.  I can remember looking at my wife on our 5th anniversary and saying really…we made it this long?!?!?!?  To which she of course replied…yeah…consider yourself lucky....  Anyway, every year to see the excitement before, during, and after this event is all pretty cool and makes me feel good about the effort.

This past year has been one of the best for NLG in my mind.  This is really a tight community of helping one another out.  I've seen new members and respected Vendors stepping up making the site all the better for everyone.  I've seen Veteran members keeping on top of the posts and helping out when they can.  I've seen members protecting one another from some too good to be true ads from negative Karma members and fly by night sellers that naturally show up on any public Forum.  I've seen members step up and go above and beyond to help another get their machine running...even going as far as to send free parts as if their time wasn't enough.  I've seen some new respected Vendors on the home page that offer fair deals on parts and I've seen the veteran Vendors step up and offer the same great service they've given for years.  And I've seen some great graphic improvements to the site to make things easier to find as well.  All that and more makes me keep coming back, wanting to contribute in any way I can to keep this site going and making it all possible.  Without NLG, where would you be with your hobby at this point?!?!?!

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

The Bettor Slots Company will be giving away several prizes to those that participate with a Grand Prize and Second Place Prize of a fully decked out and detailed PREMIUM slot machine.  There are also some great runner-up prizes….so check out the details.


FORMAT:

This giveaway is open to all NLG members.  The prize winners will be selected raffle style by selecting they’re “name from a hatâ€�.  Any winner from previous years events is also eligible to win again this year.  Selection of winners shall be pulled in order of Grand Prize first and then down from there.

The first pulled ticket / name out of the hat will be placed on the table in full view and shall be the Grand Prize Winner.  The second pulled ticket / name out of the hat will be placed on the table in full view and shall be the Second Place Winner.  No single Member may win more than one prize.  In the event that the name on the second place ticket matches that of the first, it will be announced "we have a duplicate" and that ticket shall be set aside.  This process will continue until a unique name is pulled for the 2nd place winner.  Once the 2nd place winner is established, the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place finishers shall be established in the same manner.  

Although prize winners will be pulled in order from 1st place price to last, they will be announced in order from last place prize to first.

Any prize winner 1st through 6th may gift their prize to any other NLG member provided they took part in this event and obtained a raffle ticket.  Their name and prize will be published.

Simply make a $25 donation to NLG by clicking the DONATE button at the bottom of this page.  

YOU CAN MAKE MULTIPLE $25 DONATIONS AND OBTAIN MULTIPLE TICKETS TO INCREASE YOUR ODDS.        

BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR NLG "HANDLE" IN THE MEMO PORTION WHEN YOU DONATE.    

PLEASE DO NOT MENTION THE EVENT IN THE MEMO TO AVOID PROBLEMS WITH PAYPAL...YOU WILL BE IDENTIFIED AND A TICKET AWARDED BASED ON YOUR HANDLE NAME.


AUDIT OF ENTRIES:

Throughout this event all NLG Member's participating shall have their "handle" name posted with the number of entries / tickets purchased.  Each individual member is required to verify their name and number of entries purchased.  NLG or Bettor Slots will not be held liable if no claim is made by the member within 24 hours of the date of the drawing.


CAN I OBTAIN MORE THAN ONE TICKET ???:

YES you can!!!  You all know how a slot machine works right?  The RND on the computer board reaches into the "hat" and pulls out a symbol for each reel....and why does the "BLANK" hit most often on the line over any other?  There are more cards in the "hat" with BLANK written on them than any other symbol.  It's simple mathematics, if you want to increase your chances of winning...make sure your name is on more cards than anyone else's.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Anyone that wishes to participate must obtain their ticket no later than 23:59 PDT (11:59 PM PDT), APRIL 25, 2014.  The actual drawing will occur at 15:00 PDT (3:00 PM PDT), April 26, 2013.  The drawing will be video recorded and posted on this site for all to see this same day later in the evening.

ADVERTISING:

By participating in this event you are agreeing that your prize, yourself, your NLG handle, or likeness may be used on NLG or Bettor Slots web sites or any other publication for future advertising.

ODDS OF WINNING:

Last year you had a member increase their odds to a 1.3 chance in 10 of winning....those are great odds.  Even if you got just one ticket...you had a 1 in 264 chance of winning...pretty incredible really.  Actual odds of winning are directly proportional to the number of tickets versus the number of participants which cannot be determined at this time.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:


Q:  Does Bettor Slots receive any of the proceeds from this event?

A:  Zero, nada, none.  All proceeds go to NLG.


Q:  Does the drawing occur at the BettorSlots.com place of business?  Can we come and watch?

A:  No and Yes.  To insure there is no question about favoritism and because NLG receives all accounting information with each donation, I have requested that the draw occur at the NLG Headquarters.  The draw will be filmed and posted here for all to see.  In addition, the names will be pulled by GCMommie’s daughter or other volunteer.  If you want to stop by the NLG Command center to watch the draw I am sure that would be fine.


Q:  Can I stop by to pick up our prize?

A:  Of course and plan to stay awhile…we can tool around in the shop and play in the showroom some if you like.  You can also pick up your prize at the NLG Command Center.


Q:  Where will you ship the prizes to?

A:  Winners of the 1st and 2nd place prizes are expected to pick up their prize or are responsible for the cost of shipping expense to their local terminal or residence.  This expense can be taken out of their won Bettor Bucks.  In the event that the CHALLENGE is met, freight is free to the Continental 48.  We will ship to Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and West Virginia.  I will not ship to Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Wisconsin.  All other States I will ship to provided you have a current DOJ.  If you live in any other location, you might consider picking up your machine at Bettor Slots, or picking up at NLG Headquarters, or gifting your prize.

A#2:  Winners of the 4th, 5th, and 6th place prizes will have their prize shipped free of charge within the 48 continental states.  We will also ship to worldwide provided the shipping expense is paid for by the winner minus a $10 credit.


Q:  Can I receive the cash equivalent of the prize value?  Are there any substitutions available?  Can you sell my machine and then give me the cash equivalent?  

A:  No and No and No.


Q:   If I win First or Second Prize, can I apply my Bettor Bucks towards parts or anything else other than a slot machine?

A:   No, First or Second Prize must select a machine paying our competitive retail pricing.


Q:   If I win 3rd through 6th Prize, do I have to buy parts with it or can I apply my Bettor Bucks towards a machine?

A:    Yes, you can put your Bettor Bucks towards the purchase of a machine.


Q:    Will Bettor Slots or NLG pay for the freight of my machine to my home?

A:    No, the winners of the First and Second Place prizes are responsible for either picking up the machine or paying for their own freight expense.  However, they may apply their Bettor Bucks towards the cost of freight.  For example, if the First Place winner selects a machine and their total cost is less than 1,500 Bettor Bucks, then the cost of freight would be free.  Another scenario might be that the winner of the First Place prize selects a machine and that combined with their freight expense is more than 1,500 Bettor Bucks...in that case the winner would responsible for the cost of whatever the overage is.

If you can't figure out where you're supposed to put your username when you make your donation, take a look at the red arrow in this image:

Also, and this is very important (see, I used bold letters, so it must be important):

When making your PayPal donation to the site, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY MENTION OF "ENTRIES", "RAFFLE TICKETS", "DRAWING TICKETS", ETC!

As some of you may recall, in previous years PayPal froze Joey's account because they don't approve of contests that require paid entries being funded through PayPal, even though the true spirit of this is strictly to encourage donations, with a few lucky donaters being awarded an incentive.  Your donation, if you make one, is a donation to help fund the NLG website.  Do NOT call your donation a prize entry/raffle ticket/etc.  Just keep it simple and fill in your username and nothing else.

Correct: "knagl" (use your own username, of course)

Wrong: "This is from knagl for 1 raffle entry."
