i have been playing with a s2000 running s+ tournament software. i have it working but when a game finishes it just displays the final total on the display, is there a way to get the machine to print that total on a ticket?

Last time I tried a S+ tournament chip in a S2000 it would come with a invalid ROM error, this was when I was a S2000 novice.

How did you get it to work?

What chips are you using?

I just tried, and it gives me the same errors that I got many years ago when I tried.
SG000598
SB001000
VS011GX1
ST0036 - Five times pay 2000+% in tournament mode.

All I get is a System ERROR invalid SS EPROM F011
I tried the original but it was too slow so I copied it to a SST 27SF512-70
I made the programming software verify the chip numerous times
I have other SS chips that work fine as long I copy them to a SST 27SF512-70ns (I try the orignal SS chip first and if it fails I copy it to an available 27SF512)

Foster  I really don't know why you would even want a tournament game but that's up to you. But if your putting a game chip (ST0036) where you need a SS chip don't you think that could be the problem ??

I have the files for SBT00518 R W & B 2C  and a SBT00676 R W & B 3C  If either one of them will do you any good.

Buzz
I started my replies because the original poster stated he is using a S+ Tournament (STxxxx) in a S2000.
I was told years ago when I first tried it, it could not be done either.
That is why I inquired how he is doing it.
I almost think he has a SBT in the machine and is just leaving the SS chip in place and the SS chip is not being used by the machine.

I don't think it is possible but who knows what IGT had to do in 1998 when they released the Vision and Vision Ready to get them on the floors fast
I figure they came out with the SB001000 for regular SS chips and maybe another SB chip to use with S+ tournament chips.

I like the 98% I set mine for

I see a Batronix BX40 in my future.

i dont have the exact numbers for the sg and st (chip says st not sbt) chip as i am not at the shop. the sb is an sb001000 the vs was a gx0 or gx1. the machine is a double diamond.  i wont be back into the shop until monday but i do know that the sg chisp were tournament specific and i believe you have to replace the ss chip with a st( software was already in the machine by the time i got to it. your problem may be with your sg
