Hello,

I need some help on trying to find out what is causing only part of my touch screen monitor to work?  When I touch a symbol on the screen it selects the next one to right of the one I selected. Some symbols don't work at all.  Maybe some setting is wrong or something else.  Any input/help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Pe+'s don't have touchscreens.  You probably have a Gameking?   There's usually a calibration you can do to fix that problem in the diagnostic menus.  Somebody with a gameking will chime in I'm sure.

Unless you're talking about a light pen with a keno setup, you don't have a PE+.

I think the calibration menu on a Game King can also be reached with a turn or two of the jackpot reset key with the door closed, no?

Learn something new every day.   propeller

I know on the newest Bally games out on the casino floors right now, the actual calibration screen ("touch here, touch here") can be reached by turning the key a couple of times, which makes sense.  It always drove me nuts that designers had a button on the screen that you needed to press to start the calibration -- if a screen is REALLY far off, sometimes you can't press the button!

Well I’m not sure what I have PE+ or Game King!  Model is #96407600 and Date of MFG 4/97.
I have attached a couple of pictures of screen and front of machine.
Hope someone can help me figure out which machine I have a PE+ or Game King!

Thanks,

Richard

Buzz,

Thank you for the information, I have really been confused on what machine I had bought!
Guess this topic should be moved to the Game King section now that I know for sure.

Thanks again for the help!

Definitely a Game King. Aside from the keno light pen there's no interface with a PE+ aside from the buttons. Hope you're up and running 100% soon!

Maybe I can figure out how to calibrate the touch screen with all of this help received!

With the door closed and latched, turn the jackpot reset key on the side of the machine.  On the setup screen that pops up, choose the option for screen calibration.  Follow the directions on the screen to calibrate it.
