I'll just say that the Mustang cruises at 120 mph without a care in the world and you don't really notice it until you look at the speedometer.  At least it's the case out on Ave. T and I'm not saying I did it either.  garfield

Ahh, yes. Some of those letters of the alphabet lend themselves to lead foot, don't they? yes  applause   ..allegedly. Tongue Out

What's really cool is that after allegedly driving those speeds for a while, driving 70 feels like a snails pace, and everything seems to happen so slowly that it becomes much easier to react to highway conditions. One's reaction time definitely increases with -- uh -- alleged practice.

Driving, I'm gonna say a little over 95 mph in a '92 Chevy Lumina.  Kind of difficult to know since the speedometer only went to 95.  Riding, I'll say 120.

I guess that I've allegedly already answered the question, only I would never violate any law on public highways, including the internet. garfield

Although, if I were to merely imagine such activities, I would have to repeat that in my mind, I've imagined traveling 165-170MPH on a few occasions for stretches of eight or ten miles at a time (about 3 minutes), and have imagined that I drove 140MPH for extended periods more times than I can actually remember imagining. arrow

At least the Corvette's speedometer goes to 200MPH and is computer controlled (even though it appears analog), so no burying the needle on the far right, here.

On the track: 195 in a non-street legal Porsche 911T, owned by a friend's father in high school. We used to pit for him for free at local races in exchange for track time.

On the street, it's possible I could have seen the computer-limited top speed of my BMW... but who really knows if I ever went 165 in that car or not? Tongue Out

My sport bike is slower than the BMW, though, it only does 160, and I've only done that on the track. Too much speed for the street for me on two wheels, ever.

Period.

The chances of surviving  anything at that speed while surrounded by traffic, guardrails, and the like is minimal at best, and I do like being alive. At the track, you have plenty of space to shed speed slowly as you're surfing the asphalt. yes

It was strange because it seemed like I was in slow motion and had plenty of time to do anything I needed to do. Looking back, it was probably a mix of adrenaline and tunnelvision.

Well, it all depends on when you come out.  I can pull the trailer out (casida as I call it) and set it up but it could get too hot or too cold out there.  When are you coming again?  After the first of they year?  Scratch Head Scratch Head

And since I am here, here are a couple of new pics.  I found someone that could get me some Game King glass so I exchanged it for the glass that was in the machine.  I think the Game King glass looks better.  Now I need to see if he can find me some Cleo glass.
