A few nights ago we were out playing out Jackpot Limbo game and it started acting wierd.  Scratch Head When you get limbo on the third reel in the middle the dotmation says limbo and then the 'I' starts flashing and then goes away. It only happens there and not any other place on the screen. It is all fine if the limbo is on the top or bottom of the line.

I am posting a couple of pics to show what I mean.  Is this a screen issue or a power supply issue or just a freak of nature?  Help

Is there something wrong with the "Scatter Pay" and amounts box on the right side of the display as well, or is that a camera artifact caused by using a slow shutter speed while the display data were changing? It looks like two sets of information are superimposed on one another.

It seems, based on picture 1622, that all of the dot rows and columns are working properly, and since you say that it only happens on the middle line, I'm thinking software glitch in one of the dot chips. If there were something electrically wrong with that column on the dot, then the top and bottom lines of the third reel would also be affected, as would anything else in that dot column.

Does the behavior change with heat? (works when the machine is cold?)

First, I have a POS camera that has been dropped.  There is nothing wrong but just the 'I' in Limbo.

I figured since all the dots seem to work normally there was some kind of glitch somewhere.  Also, since I haven't had the machine that long I can't remember if I have ever seen this before.  It doesn't seem to be any different when it's cold or heated.

I'd vote for corrupted software -- make sure all the legs are seated properly.  If you burned those chips, try re-burning your dot chips on different chips and see if that makes a difference.

I'll have to find where all that stuff is and eventuall check it out.  Maybe I'll see if Buzz can burn me a copy of these chips next time he comes over.  This is the software that was in the game when I bought it but then this is plexiglass instead of glass  and not real reel strips either so maybe the chips are copies from someone else too.   Scratch Head  So will it just continue to get worse or should I be ok for now?

There is no way to know, but since it's a small issue there is probably no harm in playing it until you can get an original set of chips in there. There isn't much sense in copying the chips you have if they are defective. The idea is to back up your original chips in case they get damaged at a later time, so it's too late for that. Buzz might be able to get you fixed up with a new set of chips.

Well, thanks for the help applause and I guess I'll deal with it when I can.  So unless it starts smoking or otherwise quits working Scratch Head it's number 153 in a long list of things to do  stir the pot / get cooking and give me something to search for. arrow
