Just purchased a Platypus game for my Gamemaker 7200.  Installed it with the 20 mains and 08 graphics set that came with it and received this error message GFXERR (see photo).  Anyone know what this or if it can be cleared?
Thanks - Dave(rma)

It probably needs a custom set of graphics chips made for that game, or perhaps just a different release of the general graphic chips.
Can you contact the seller to confirm that the graphic chips he gave you were the correct ones? If so, these might be defective.
Is the board known to be good? That could be another cause.

I would agree with Jeff. Usually when you have a game/graphics mismatch you will see an "INCOMP" message in that P1 slot. I was looking for my Graphics list and could not find it. If the Graphics are really GU08 chips then they are kind of old, maybe pre 7200 which may be causing the problem without giving that "INCOMP" error.

Do you have another set of graphics chips to try with it?  I would try that or try a different game with those graphics chips and see if the error is still there.
I'm sure you checked the legs on the chips to be sure they weren't bent.
Thanks,
Wayne

Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas.  I still have had no luck clearing the error.  Has anyone run Platypus on a 7200?  I know the board is good.  I have check all the legs on all the chips.  I have tried all the sets of Graphics I have - One set works with many GM standalone games like Y2K, Boxcar Bonus, Play the Market and Money Poppers.  I also have a set of Graphics that works with other Platypus type games like Hot, Hot, Hot and Cash Encounters.  All sets of Graphic chips I tried give the same error.  April, from Lemans 1969 is sending me out another P1 chip hopefully that corrects the error.  Once again Thank You for your suggestions and help.

Gamemaker Platypus game error GFXERR.  Received a new set of eproms from April (Lemans1969)  - still have the same error.  Is anyone running the Platypus game on a Gamemaker 7200.  If so what Graphics eproms are you using.
Thanks - Dave(rma)
