I went through some of this A IGT chassis and a Bally chassis would not interchange. The chassis boards have the same part number so it must be in the wiring some way.  Ben told me the machines talk to the moitors in a different way ( at least I think that's what he said )  There is a thread in Monitor repair or monitor log on how to switch a upside down picture, thread started by slotace.  I wish I could have been more help !!

I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable.  I have done it with arcade games in the past, from one game to another.  Maybe you should look for the manufacturers part numbers on them.

Thanks,
Wayne

all the monitors are 13 inch and were used in Bally pokers - the tube yoke as a 4 wire harness (yellow blue red grey) i think plus a double red wire - the yoke plug is 10 pin - so all the connections are the same. I am going to give it a go tomorrow - machine has issues even with the broken neck - no battery on the cpu - power supply?  so I am going to replace the power supply - then the battery and HOPEFULLY not blow up anything.

Wayne I think the tubes will interchange but not the chassis and the chassis boards have the same part number. I know it doesn't sound right but I had the biggest mess you ever saw switching parts around. I had a couple of spare working Bally monitors, switched the out side case and put it in a PE+. nothing the screen would not come up. put back in Bally worked fine. Wayne I did this a whole bunch of times with different monitors Finally gave up and bought some IGT chassis from Ben.

Hey Buzz,
Barry is switching tubes and keeping the same chassis.  Bally chassis won't work in others, well as far as I know they wont.

Let's hope we hear from him again, just kidding, it wont explode.... Tongue Out

Thanks,
Wayne
