Those front panel DBV decals, I remember on the old site,
there was some discussion about the flashing module being updated so that it flashed more slowly, perhaps?
Does anyone have one of the updated ones actually set up and working...
it would be cool to see the difference between the old DBV sticker and the newer updated one. yes
I could make a short video clip of my older one...I think it goes too fast across the denominations really...

You mean this one?

I can't have one  bawling they are geographically biased..... Canadians have no $1 bills......

Perhaps all of my good friends here at NLG can petition the US Goverment to replace the $1 green back with the SusanB's and they will then create a new sticker that can be used here too.....  rotflmao rotflmao

You mean this one?

Yep, that's the "version 2" of the software where the "This Machine Accepts" stays lit up.  On the "version 1" software, each thing lit up and turned off in sequence.

So does anyone have these for sale? Scratch Head

Yes and no.  I've heard from others that they now require a minimum quantity order, but nobody seems to know what that minimum is.  Here's info from the September 2007 thread about the things from the old site:

Quote
Information from the sticker/control box (for one of the styles): ADD VISION INC.  1001-P4-02-718-B

Three styles available:
1 - Black background/yellow text version.  The yellow lights up green when operating (same one Ron has).
2 - Black background/white text version.  The white lights up blue when operating.
3 - Blue background/white text version.  The white lights up blue when operating.

Individual = $25
20-100 = $22.50
101+ = negotiable

IGraphics bought out Add-Vision years ago, so what they are selling are exactly what Ron has, except they have two additional versions other than what he has.  The price includes a power supply and is a complete kit.

They called them "electroluminescent panels."

Call 800-252-8660 and ask for Lisa in Customer Service.  Tell her you want one of those things that light up and stick on the front of slot machines.  She will laugh and then tell you they call them "bill acceptors."  The part number for the black/yellow/green one is 10346-7000, but she couldn't find the other two part numbers.  They will know what you are talking about and were really nice and easy to deal with.

That must be the newer version in the video because mine flashes like a hundred miles an hour.... Tongue Out

Oh, the flat ribbon goes right behind the edge of the DBV plastics on the door...
you have to remove the faceplate and bend the ribbon cable around into the door then re-install the DBV faceplate.

If anyone needs the slower version of the software like in Ron's demo above PM me.  These were custom programmed by the manufacturer for us and I have 2 of them I'm not using.

ADD>>>> I am offering the chips, not the entire unit.

If anyone finds out where to get these, please let us know. I hope someone sells them individually and not "Bulk"!! They can't be that hard to find.

I'd love if you sold me one, that video is too cool.  I was thinking of calling the phone number listed above and seeing what the 'bulk' number is and if they even have them still.  It sounds like there are quite a few people that want these.

I have all the information and will try to get some information on these.  The information in here is from 2007 but I'll see what I can find out.  If still available I will see what the minimum order is and then go from there.  applause

Sounds good!! Quick question: I got lost in all of the responses. Are other items needed, or can you just plug this thing in?

Be aware that if you have an IGT original LED lighted BV bezel these will not work with this device.  It relies on the bulb type socket to turn the unit on and off during play.  You can overcome this by opening up the driver box and adding a jumper (to pin 3 I believe) to make it function all the time.   The intensity of the light does fade over time with use, so if you get them buy extra decals.  They come in 3 colors too.

Very good info to know. I have two little bulbs in mine that just take a small turn to remove.

Here are some installation pics of the lighted decal, I did a couple of years ago.

These two show the power box and the ribbon cable. The power box has the white ribbon
cable and the two orange wires that run to the bv light. In the second pic you can barely
see the two orange wires below the big black harness cover.

wave OK so, so far here's the deal.

I talked to a very nice lady, her name is Alma.  I gave her the part number listed here (10346-7000) and she checked and the last time they were actually sold was in 2002 to Dynasty Games and also Allison Novelties, Inc.  I haven't been able to find any information about either one of those companies just yet.  Heck, I'm still on my first cup of morning coffee.  bust gut laughing

So (back on track) Alma was going to see if they still had everything needed to make these, she found the software but was going to make sure they had thestuff it took to make them again.  She asked me how many I wanted and I told her that I heard they had to be bought in bulk and I told her I would think 50 of them but I wasn't sure yet.  The only problem I can see is that I don't know if 50 could be sold or it they will require more to be bought because they have to dig everything out of the archive.  Also, since I'm not with a company they might not sell to me.

Anyway, I also don't know yet if we would have to supply our own power and ribbon or not. Scratch Head  I guess you'll know when I know.

We bought these about 2 years ago, so 2002 is not correct.  I don't think you are in touch with the correct company.  I'll look and see if I have any documentation on these when I get home this evening.
