any numbers on the display?  If not then you likely put the mains in backwards.  Check to see if the U28 and U43 are in the correctly marked sockets with the notches aligned correctly.

p.s.  I locked the poll since it didn't make sense.

Thanks,
Wayne

Welcome to NLG otis51  wave

Here is an excerpt from the manual that might be of help:

The ProSlot® 6000 enters a self-test upon each
system reset (power or RESET button). A malfunction
in system memory will generate an 8x code and flash
the tower and button lamps at a coded rate. Refer to
the following table for flash codes:

Flash Rate (Per Second) Error

1 Main EPROM Checksum Error (U28 and U43)
2 Personality EPROM Checksum Error (U18 and U20)
3 Volatile RAM Write/Read Failure (U30 and U45)
4 Non-Volatile RAM (SafeRAM™) Write/Read Failure (U30 and U45)
Continuous Battery Low (BAT1)

This set of errors is indicated by the flash rate-per-second, not the number of flashes.

Hi David,
With those he should have a display showing 8x, sounded like nothing but lights flashing to me.  From doing a saferam clear to flashing made me think of corrupt mains. if the mains get corrupted (inserted incorrectly then powered up), it wont boot.  I'll wait for their answer to know for sure.

Thanks,
Wayne

p.s. thanks for removing the poll
